I feel like there should be a memorial thread for the totaled FRSi and BRZeds with how much bad luck they draw to them. It's sad..

I'll pour one out for my homies.

Based on his wording its his fault. When my tc was total at someone's else's fault the cops gave me the other guys insurance info and was on the phone the next morning to them. The paid for a rental car for me for two weeks as the got the car assessed and then totaled it. Not only that they gave me 2k more than I could have hoped for.

That doesn't happen very often, lol. I never got treated that way by an at fault insurance company...

When my mazda got totalled, I called my agent and they told me to give the other insurance company 24 hours to contact me. When the 24 hours went by, I filed my own claim with my company and they paid me for my car, rental etc. minus my deductible and went after the other party. Took 3 months to get my deductible back as my insurance company gave me more for my car than the other party wanted too. When I pay my insurance premium and my agent gets their commission, I am paying for coverage AND service. BTW, my insurance did not go up as it was clearly the other drivers fault.

You will be covered by the driver at fault (person taking a left hand turn). Glad you're okay. Once again, let us know what you end up getting next.

Is the 13 MY bad luck? I am starting to think so...

I'm not sure if driving rules/courtesies are drastically different where you are than they are here, but anyone crossing/turning out from a driveway or side street onto the main roads must yield to traffic until it's safe for them to do what they need to.

Man I'm sorry about your car - I hate seeing shit like this. You'd think it would be obvious to him to wait before pulling out if what he needs to do is going to obstruct, impede, or severely disrupt the flow of traffic on the main road - especially if he can see you're traveling at a speed where you couldn't stop on time.

I swear you can always pick the awful drivers out at the mall or in other public places too - they're the ones that walk around just like they drive. Slow as shit right in the middle - coming straight at you and not moving over when you're up against the side of something, stopping with people around or behind them to pull out their phone instead of getting off to the side.

Anyway - I hope everything works out in your favor, your car gets fixed up, and you and your passenger won't have any long-term injuries because of this tool.

Now ain't THAT the truth....

I swear, I'm gonna start walking through stores and in malls like I had to walk through pedestrian traffic in NYC .... just start banging into people ..... if you don't you just get kicked to the curb ....

Especially the women pushing the duelie, double decker strollers ... using them as battering rams. Just notice them in the parking lot and you will see them loading up their giant SUV/Pickup truck and driving through the parking lot like they are driving a tank!

Rant over .....

Yea I was going the speed limit and I've never raced my car cause I know here in AZ there are super strict penalties against street racing.

The police filed the accident report and gave me the other guys insurance information. So I'm not too worried about fault.

The thing I'm worried about is how much the insurance company will give me for this whole mess. From my understanding, they should compensate for the value of my car, medical, rental car etc. But I was still paying my loan off so there might be that gap in loan vs value of the car. I got the gap insurance through Toyota so the loan should be all covered by them. I don't know if I'll get any extra to put towards my next vehicle. Does anyone know or have been in similar situations as me? This is my first big accident so I haven't deal too much with insurance before :/

Also thanks for everyones support! Once I figure out all this financial stuff I'll decide on what car I get next love the FRS, thinking BRZ but we'll see!
