Redding out taillight question?

So this being my first new car in all , haven't done all too much to it. Wanted to know was there a better route then painting the taillights? Like a red film of some sort? that you guys know or would recommend?

I've seen both ways. Painting looks good from a far, but looks painted up close. I may have just seen some bad ones in person. BlueBatmobile makes some pre-cut vinyl ones that look great.

I would like to red out my tails as well, issue is the factory tails have had issues with condensation in them. The dealer will replace those if your still under warrant. That being said, I'm afraid of the painting method.

If you paint them the paint can be removed with paint thinner if needed, and like captain said, bluebatmobile has vinyl overlays if you go that route.

My 2013 had 0 condensation, but honestly it really doesn't matter. My Range Rover Evoque now has condensation in it but the manual actually says it's NORMAL and harmless.
