ECUTEK Launch Control for AT transmission

Could anyway explain how to select the Launch Control map for an AT transmissions BRZ/86.

Basically the car has only the Launch control map as you don't need FFS on the AT version.

The tuner that done the job said in order to adjust the Rev car needs to be on P or N then flat foot the brake and gas pedal at the same time , and then use the cruise control to adjust the Rev , which works fine.

But when you try to do it again for second and third time it doesn't work the the RMP just keep going to 7200 then bounce back, so basically it works only once after you switch on the engine.

Any idea on how to the check if the map is selected already and how to do a proper launch with this feature.
Any help will be appreciated

you can't. It is dictated by your torque convertor.

so what is the point of having a such feature if you can't use it every time you want to use launch control ?

Well, MT uses it. Just not applicable to AT.
Feel free to ask ecutek about it.

Actually think of it like this:
Jumping off a 5m bridge into
1. River - cool.
2. Tarmac - not cool.

in my opinion it should be the opposite , why do i need a launch control when i have MT transmission.
its not possible to to do a jump start on AT transmissions , so that's why you need a launch control feature .

Read up on torque convertors.
It is a physical limitation.

Launch control will not work with an A/T, and dropping from Neutral into gear with any A/T is a really bad idea. The only real option would be if you can find a company that makes a higher stall torque converter, which is doubtful for this application.

South Side Performance actually showed their higher-stall torque converter a few weeks back...should be out soon

Found it:

We have an upgraded Convertor as well. We didnt cut the stator to minimize power loss to the wheels. We also have a ton of other upgrades coming along for the AT guys in January.
