I de-pinned the white wire out of the plug for the emblem. The white wire controls the blue light. Now, it glows only white!

Scion badges are bad enough, but glowing badges are retarded. Has no one removed these, or their bumper yet to see if there is an extra hole for the wiring?

Yes, there is a big hole in the center of the emblems. I am in the middle of figuring out how to control them. I want to be able to turn them on and off and even drive with them on if I want. LOL. I will have a write-up when I am finished.
I am also trying to figure out how to change the EL dash to say what I want it to say... That one has proved to be a little more difficult. LOL |

Starkiller is my hero!
One of the things I wanted to do (but had no idea how) was try to rewire it so something else would glow instead... for example ..foot well lighting inside the car or something. Quote:

Ignition Silver is a 10-series only color. The 10 series is also the only way to get an FR-S with HID headlights. That's the major reason I got a 10 series - I wanted HID headlights, but I did not like the BRZ front bumper at ALL. I also did NOT want leather seats - and the FR-S only comes with cloth seats for all trims. Perfect. But I can agree that simply adding the HIDs and the color as options to base models would have made been a logical choice. [/Off Topic] Back on topic - have not removed them yet, but I have preemptively disconnected them. I have to wholeheartedly disagree about them growing on me - very glad to draw attention to the car's beautiful lines and great color rather than the shitty ricer emblems that serve no useful purpose other than to use my battery, increase drag, increase weight on overhangs, and add more complexity to the wiring. Would have gladly paid for kneepads instead. Then again, to each their own... |

Could anybody clarify which relay to disconnect under the steering column? I removed the assessmbly from the center console but that's just for the dash. Disconnected a wire and now it only shines white. I've disconnected some relays but I just can't seem to find the one.

There are some Toyota Emblems where the center is filled. Im thinking about disassembling the stock ones, replacing the scion logo with the filled toyota one, then putting that back on the LED ring, then back to the car. Should retain the blue hue around the emblem without the white lettering and enable me to get some GT86 badges on her. Im going to order one and see how it comes out.
