Yep. I wasn't sure what all came with the package. This appears to mainly be the device to transfer the maps to/from the ECU. I was mainly thinking out loud. The important thing is that I can get WB O2 into the logs along with what is coming from the OBDII port into the tablet so that it can be read later by the tuning software.

TunerPro might be a sufficient tuning application. But that's something to check later. I'll probably donate for the full version of that as I like to support the people that help the community.

I am definitely watching this thread for more updates though.

This is great! Reminds me of when OpenFlash first started for the EVO VIII! I wish I would have waited before boosting the BRZ, this is a much better option.

Not that I want to throw another wrench in the works, But I believe Tactrix/ECUFlash are soon to have support as well.

Does anyone know if Openflash will be supporting things like No Lift Shift, Launch control etc. I know data logging is coming.

Yes, launch control and no lift shift is enabled in the 6MT OpenFlash maps

How about MAP sensor scaling, is that available?
that is paramount to anyone wanting boost.
also the trick of using the purge solenoid output to control a wastegate solenoid would be good as well

You can rescale all the sensors in the engine. I know Shiv rescaled the front o2 sensor to allow it to read a richer nominal AFR value instead of bottoming out. A MAF scaling table is also defined. Along with various others. I'll check the defs to see if one of them is MAP.

Interested in this. Looks like a much better & cheaper way to ecutek . I'm interesting in tracking this car and want to know if your tuners have any experience tuning track/performance oriented cars? I did see the post from your tuner about a more Daily Driver setup but I'm interested in a more performance tuned (while still being my daily driver of course) version?

Second cat (if a high flow) only has a 1-2 hp penalty. But it makes a huge difference in sound quality and output.

There's a thread on Romraider forums suggesting that the latest Ecuflash beta (and thus next version) contains subie diesel ecu support. the diesels share an ecu with the 86, only the rom id differs. so... that means ecuflash will soon be able to flash 86 ecus out of the box. all that is left after that is open source definitions. or at least that is how i understand it... i only know what's been public knowledge on the forums over there.

even with that in mind.... this is still a better deal. if ecuflash didn't require a tactrix branded cable it may be a different story. i still think you get your money's worth here with the device itself and support.

That post is several months old.. I don't think anything is being done with it. Not sure what's up with EcuFlash but I haven't heard from Colby in a LONG time.
