I had my fuel pump changed and the crickets came back 1000 miles later. I hear there might be a new TSB update for it coming the end of this month.

I was going to wait a bit to see if a new TSB came out, since the one now doesn't really work. I'll prob wait until my service appointment and if there is now new TSB, get them to do current one and hope it works.

I also noticed a loud clicking sound from rear, one loud one at a time, thought it might of been the spot welding TSB but ended up the trunk safety latch has a snap that it connects too. And if its lose and dangling it will yank and make loud noises. So if anyone is hearing loud clicks from rear check that out.

It's not a hard install, it's just took me awhile trying to get plugs out and back in. But if you follow the instructions provided on the other thread, have a chair to sit on while working, don't work in a dark parking garage, and be careful with the plastic bits, it's very doable :happy0180:

Having a chair is really important. It takes a while and you're bent 90 degrees the whole time.

Hello, new to the forum. I purchased number 535 on August 2, 2013. I was wondering: I've read in this thread that the badges should glow when I get near the vehicle with the fob in my pocket. Mine do not do this. I've had it for a month and a half with 2325 miles on it, and it has never done this. I have activated the alarm, adjusted the door handle to unlock both doors, but not sure how to enable the emblems to come on when I get near. They come on if I use the remote to unlock the doors from a distance. It's not a real big deal, I'd just kinda like it if it would work. Also, am I weird, but i do not want someone else changing my oil for me. I love the maintaining aspect of all of my motorized toys. I know that I get free oil changes and stuff until 25000 mi, but the thought of some 19 year old college drop out changing my oil doesn't thrill me. I wonder if I can just get them to give me the oil and/or filters to do it myself. Anyway, glad to be here. Thanks to all for all of the great info.

If your spare key is still in your glove box it won't work. If not, and your checking in your garage, your spare key might still be within 15ft or so from the car. This has happened to other members here, hope this helps.

This is not the case. It doesn't work anywhere. Been driving it for a month and a half, my spare is in my house. I guess it isn't a big deal, but the emblems are touted as a beacon. Doesn't really lead me to my car if it doesn't come on until I am at the car. Oh well, still really pleased with this little car. :happy0180:

Still not working. Went out for supper, so I know I wasn't too close to the other fob. Nothing. I walked all around the car. It doesn't really matter, if I need them to light up I'll just mash the unlock button on the remote fob. Thanks for the replies!
