@FRSRAVEN glad it didn't do any major damage!
@Mossyjaw have you thought about touchless?

May I recommend willing your car to be clean? That process doesn't require any touching.

Wait, what are we talking about?
Cloth, touchless or happy ending?

i dont do car washes.. not with my car anyway.. even the touchless ones.. they all use harsh chems and recycle the water.. and who knows how many particles are blasting the paint.. the full service ones where they wipe them down before you drive off.. they wipe the undersides and the gritty dirty bottom of the doors.. then with the same rag.. they do the hood and other painted areas with their gritty rags.. I blow dry mine with the leaf blower and then wipe down any excess.. so there is less rubbing to do..
Now my wifes car... it goes to the car wash...

Five stars great story, would read again. I gasped when you said the front washer nearly hit the hood of your car!

I am to please!

I'm satisfied with the outcome of this thread, gave me a good chuckle, and hopefully a couple of other people.

Oh you were in a touch less one. In that case, yeah that's messed up.

I'm getting the sense people recommend the "Touchless" wash. Maybe you should look into it!
