100? 192lbs is the difference.

Sorry sir, I stated 3,294 for the 2.0T. e30kawi corrected me at 3,362. That's 68lbs difference. NOT even close to 100lbs, and certainly not 192lbs.
3,362-3,554lbs are the range of weights for the 2.0T manual base and automatic loaded. You just subtracted those numbers without even looking into it. Nice try though man, maybe next time!

Heavy or not, Here is a video of the new GC drifting (stock) and having some fun in the dry. Something I haven't seen footage of the FR-S doing in stock form. Not that drifting means anything at all, but the FR-S seems to be getting a lot of attention for being able to slide around in the rain.

Guys, if any of you are fans of the previous Gen Coupe Vega bumper, I assume they will make one for the GC. I don't like the hood either. But the value per dollar on this car is pretty amazing. If you're a Tuner this is a much easier car to work with... port injection, twin scroll turbo and the big engine bay.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2013 GENESIS COUPE
• Refreshed, more aggressive exterior design
o New front fascia, grille, headlight, fog light, hood designs
o New 18- and 19-inch wheel
o New LED-enhanced taillight design
o Available LED daytime running lights (DRLs)
• 3.8-liter V6 engine receives direct-injection technology
o 348 horsepower, 295 lb.-ft. torque (rating with premium fuel)
o Improved fuel economy for both transmissions
• 18 city/28 highway – 8-speed A/T
• 18 city/27 highway – 6-speed M/T
• 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine receives new twin-scroll turbocharger and larger, more thermally-efficient intercooler
o 274 horsepower, 275 lb.-ft. torque (rating with premium fuel)
o Improved fuel economy for A/T
• 20 city/31 highway – 8-speed A/T
• 21 city/30 highway – 6-speed M/T
• New, in-house-developed 8-speed automatic transmissions
o Paddle-shift SHIFTRONIC® capability
• New, retuned low-velocity-control suspension dampers
• Blue Link® telematics available on 3.8 Grand Touring/Track and 2.0T Premium
• Electroluminescent gauge cluster with information display
• Telescopic steering wheel (added to tilt function)
• Driver seat power lumbar adjustment
• Redesigned center stack appearance and gauges

How do you guys feel about the 2013 Genesis Coupe.

Hey Guys, Hyundai showed the 2013 Genesis Coupe today. Do you like it? Has it changed any of your minds on buying a frs or BRZ? I personally think it looks awesome!

Yea plus im not gonna be tracking it much or at all so the 86s whole "handling" thing isnt much use for dd... BUT idk about the quality of hyundai and how long they last
I think i might wait around to see if they decide on putting in fi on the 86, but one can only wait so long; especially not liking to wait for things haha

Wasn't Ken Gushi drifting around with a stock FT86?

When the track was soaking wet.

There's footage shot from the interior while it's going around a track squealing the tires, but not really drifting. Every now and then it will do a quick little slide, but it never powers through a substantial curve.

TRANSMISSIONS
Both engines are mated to standard six-speed manual transmissions which have been extensively refined to provide more driver-friendly shift gating and balanced weighting precision. The clutch take-up, feel, and engagement characteristics also have been refined for optimum shifting ease and feel. Both engines now offer an in-house-developed eight-speed automatic with paddle-shift SHIFTRONIC® manual-shifting capability. Each transmission has been specifically tuned to match its engine's unique power and torque curve characteristics.
In addition to the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, each automatic offers shift capability via the shift lever according to individual driver preference. A clear LCD readout on the instrument panel shows the selected gear at all times.
I'm hoping the transmissions are reworked to be much better, since that seems the biggest downside of the current vehicle.
