I don't like the torque dip either, and it can be pretty much removed with some mods and a tune if you really wanted to, but the car does have humbly modest sized balls above 5k and can definitely keep up momentum.
I don't think the person you replied to is worth your time. He does not understand the point of the car in its entirety. Nice explanation though

along with the blind spot on the driver side when turning your head, is it too much to ask for a coin holder like most cars lol.

Sounds like "crickets", to me. When I first heard my crickets at 300 miles, I was really angry because I thought it was a bad/loose belt or bad pulley. Once I found out about the HPFP noise at low/idle RPM (by searching this forum), I calmed down. Still get the crickets chirping almost daily, but I'm used to it now, and I love this car.

I switched from the tC too. The moonroof (sorry, Panorama Roof) was great but I like having the extra headroom. I had to have the cover on the moonroof open all the time so my head wouldn't hit it.

As far as my BRZ goes, I really only have two beefs with it, 1- the head unit is garbage, terrible layout, tiny buttons and constantly loosing signal (bluetooth, XM, and FM). 2- the paint seems to collect chips far faster than anything else I've had, weak clear coat?

But Subaru didn't design the head unit and the paint thing may just be in my head. So overall, awesome car.

I can't get out of this damn car without scuffing the side sills or kicking somewhere inside. And I'm super careful when I get out too.

Have you owned any Subaru's before? The paint has been super thin on every Subaru I have owned or been around.

The door stops open the door either not enough or way to much. There is no in between.

I can't stand the fact that what should be a 5 minute sparkplug change on a regular car will take me the better part of a day to do on the fa20! Damn you boxer!

Eh?

Applying RainX once every few months should be all you need.

Get a Mustang GT and call it a day. Then you can be the fastest guy between stop lights.....

Wrong I've been waiting for a rwd car that handled like this since the 240sx. I used to drive an E30 BMW. I understand exactly what this car is supposed to be about and I hear what folks are saying to drive it 5k+ and bounce off the rev limiter, but that's not enough of a power band to truly enjoy hilly rural driving, it isn't an S2k powertrain by any means.

You have to admit that guys who have a good tune and headers without the torque dip have a better car, I mean the torque dip doesn't fall in line with what this car is about. The car's suspension/chassis tackle the twisties of my back-roads hilly PA commute. But the torque dip takes away from the driving experience, it certainly doesn't add to it. It makes a lot of sense to mod the dip away if you truly "get" the car. Heck I'm not the only one who bought the car knowing it would need a few strategic mods.

The keyless entry.. sooner or later it will become a "omg open the door" or "omg turn on the engine" key
