Just so that I'm clear, are you saying that that the DW265 is really a drop in replacement? Meaning all the factory parts can be used, including the stock "filter sock" and the lower portion of the internal canister?

I was not terribly happy to have aborted my install of the 290lph "drop-in" pump when I realized that I was going to need to use "duct tape and paper clips" to get it properly secured. Okay, I was pissed. :-)

Side question, does the high pressure pump feed off of the output of the drop in pump, or is it fed by a separate feed line from the tank?

My quick math tells me that 4x500cc/min=2l/min=120lph @ 100% duty cycle. I don't know much about sizing fuel pumps, but, assuming that we only need this pump to feed these 4x500cc port injectors, then a 265lph pump shouldn't have any problem maxing out these 4 injectors. And that doesn't even take into account that at the time of highest fuel needs (let's say 14.5psi [1 bar]), these 500cc injectors will only be flowing effectively ~400cc/min at 100% duty cycle, since they'll be trying to squirt against 14.5 psi manifold pressure.

I have the 290 LPH....

Wtf do I do since it doesn't fit?!?

Removing the filter sounds like a bad idea considering you'll probably mess up your engine if there's residue in the gasoline at the pump.

Zip-ties?!

What have people done?

You don't hear it turning on when you turn your key to on? (Or with PB start no foot on clutch, hot button twice.)

I resolved this issue.

The fuel injector was short circuiting (injector fuse was blowing) which was the reason the car wasn't sending any instructions to the fuel pump.

When we fixed the short, the car started no problem.

Guys, make sure to quote the person you are asking the question to or mention them or something. If not, its impossible for me to know you asked unless I come in and look for it.

The DW 265c still requires the stock fuel sock to be cut out. No big deal on that one, if you ever need to go back to stock the stock sock will still work with the stock pump. But, the canister does close completely. Since I made my post, I had to re open the canister and use 4 O rings for the fuel pump in order for it to keep pressure and work 100% even under full load (I think 3 O rings would have worked).

On the 290 LPH pump, it has been found out that you can close the canister with it. The key is NOT using the white spacer but using 3 O rings.

I had used zip ties to hold it in place. Good luck everyone!

Odd question: Does this resolve the "crickets under the hood" issue? I took my BRZ in and they replaced it under warranty at 7500 miles because of the cricket noise, but the replacement is still making the same noise.

And any future replacements will make the same noise...until an entirely new pump design is released, the crickets will come back
