Slaloms in Switzerland are awesome !

I live in Switzerland, and we don't have racetracks (sadly), but we've got some great autocross-like races called "slalom".

Some of you may have seen my videos in other topics, but as someone asked me, I've done this topic to discuss about them.

A video is worth a thousand words, so here you go, this one was last saturday in Geneva:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N84GulpdtVI"]Slalom de Genève 2014 - Subaru BRZ - 2:33.69 - YouTube[/ame]

And this one was back in april:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rghpy-oPxz4"]Slalom de Bière 2014 - Subaru BRZ - 3:19.460 - YouTube[/ame]

Let me know what you think of them or if you've got some settings or driving advices

My car:
Subaru BRZ '12 stock with Yokohama AD08R 225/45R17 on OZ Alleggerita 8x17 wheels.

Video recording:
GoPro HD Hero 1 with a RAM Mount fixed like this:

Data logging:
Torque or RaceChrono on an Android device and a 10$ Bluetooth OBD-II adapter

Video overlay:
RaceRender 3 with a template made by myself to match the european BRZ dash, that can be downloaded here:

My SCCA safety steward just shit his pants. That's a lot of immovable obstacles.

Yeah I've seen auto slalom and auto test videos from all over Europe and they are similar everywhere. I have run a non-SCCA autocross here in the US which had some very close objects as well.

Usually the issue is space/venues but in the first video it looked like there was actually a decent sized parking lot at the end of the video. Can't imagine how long it took people to set all that up.

Certainly looks like a lot of fun, but definitely need to have some balls to go fast.

There aren't any US-size parking lot in Switzerland, so yes, there are some corners where you must be careful, but it's still less dangerous than the Nordschleife ;-)

That is sick! I need to show this to my local SCCA personnel. Our AutoX venues are not that great.

Does the first video take place on concrete? If so that would be pretty challenging to keep from sliding. Also a lot of fun.

Love the placement for your RAM mount. Very creative and clever! :-)

Love that outdoor one. If I ever go to europe I'm going to switzerland for one of these in my rental!
