Thanks for looking!

Looks amazing!!!

SkitterSkotter 08-17-2012 05:57 PM

looks fantastic, I love that turbo placement, nothing like being able to see that lil' guy in there just ready to spool up.

rusty959 08-17-2012 06:09 PM

Cant wait for more details!

Any concerns with the turbo and piping being right beside the belt and such? Seems like especially on cooldown too much heat could be too close to the belt. I guess shielding may be in order but might be hard being that close. Ceramic coating maybe.

bakerr6 08-17-2012 06:09 PM

Dang and I just bought an intake. This is the location I was hoping for in the future!

mechaghost 08-17-2012 06:14 PM

This looks great! I love the placement or the turbo

Visconti 08-17-2012 06:28 PM

Badass

Mr.Jay 08-17-2012 06:46 PM

love all these turbo builds that are popping up!

keep up the good work

fsevofq400 08-17-2012 06:54 PM

is that a direct vent to atmosphere wastegate dump I'm seeing?
This thing is going to sound insane!

subatoy 08-17-2012 07:05 PM

is there a reason the turbo isn't placed parallel to the ground? looks kinda crooked. just being picky!

Sterz 08-17-2012 07:32 PM

How the **** am I supposed to choose what turbo kit to buy?! Amazing work guys!

fluffy-reindeer-slayer 08-17-2012 07:34 PM

very nice, cant wait to see more.

F3dzo 08-17-2012 07:43 PM

Crooked is how kits are set apart!!! Why conform to the norm! Badasssss

F3dzo 08-17-2012 07:53 PM

Ballpark figure pleaseeeeee $$$$$$$

Don@Accelerated 08-17-2012 08:08 PM

Looks great guys. Love the way the manifold pops right up. I love the location but had issues w/ heat doing it this way. Wheres the downpipe going. Is it wrapped?

How much for just the manifolds? Will you sell seperately?

denverizzles 08-17-2012 08:11 PM

GOD HAS ANSWERED MY PRAYERS!!! SOMEONE THAT LIVES 10 MINUTES FROM ME IS BUILDING A TURBO KIT!

NOW SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY...when the kit is completed =D

Tradewind 08-17-2012 08:52 PM

A big effort indeed. With no emission control on the exhaust side this item could be a worry for those wanting to be as compliant as possible.

Lots of heat emissions for all that pipe area but maybe at the end of the day no worse that the other TC systems, have to monitor the under bonnet temps and see what the indications are.

Would have to be significantly cheaper than the other more concealed options before it would be a buy option - to much stuff that immediately shows car is modded - when cops look

denverizzles 08-17-2012 09:06 PM

hey P&L,

is the turbo placement due to chicago's rough winters? i always questioned the turbo placement of other systems in snowy weather and if the salt/snow combo would damage the turbo.

mike2100 08-17-2012 09:17 PM

That wastegate dump is flipping the EPA the bird. Hilarious

sw20kosh 08-17-2012 09:34 PM

Sexy, but I would be concerned with heat near all those accesories/belts... long term that is.

I personally am looking for something moar sleeper and more "compliant" to emissions/cops.

Nice top mounted kit!!!

wow that makes no sense.

Coheed 08-17-2012 11:34 PM

Looks good, but I do have concerns about heat. Having it right by the belt/idlers seems like it would take its toll over a few thousand miles. Perhaps some sheet metal heat shields could help?

whitefrs 08-17-2012 11:45 PM

Lets see the final product

Visconti 08-17-2012 11:46 PM

Can't wait to see it in person

Those Meddling Kids 08-17-2012 11:50 PM

Looks awesome! If I were going to build a kit this is the placement I would choose. Lots of the newer mustang turbo kits have similar placement with no heat/belt issues. Coating can also go a long way in combating and issues which may arise.

Tilted like that allows the air intake to line up with the pass through in the rad support while also giving a better angle for the exhaust outlet. And it looks cool.

I'm loving that manifold, equal length or close, no oil pump required, easy access to the turbo, the turbo is away from water and debris... VERY nice work guys.

2forme 08-18-2012 08:26 AM

I'm still waiting for a rerouted/internal wastegate turbo kit. Not a fan of divorced wastegate.

Is there any reason in particular? I've always been a fan of the exact opposite for many reasons

Yea, I had a turbo kit on of my cars once with a divorced wastegate. It sounded like crap and was obnoxiously loud. I still cringe when I hear one in another car. I bought an exhaust to hear it, not a wastegate :)

/Rant

I know for a fact that they'll have a option to plumb it back in.

Most subie guys like it dumped , and I'm guessing Paul wanted it dumped as well so those wanting the dump could hear how loud it was.

I'm not decided on going turbo, but I'm hoping that'll be an option on this kit, and that this kit isn't prohibitively expensive.

bakerr6 08-18-2012 10:24 AM

I recalculate mine on my fi cars but I prefer an external gate

same here, i want an internal wastegate... currently working on my own kit and this was the setup i was looking at doing rather then down low

86design 08-18-2012 05:35 PM

not bad....my only concern is those belts and the heat!

Sterz 08-20-2012 03:50 AM
