After a few weeks, the JDL catback finally came in. The craftsmanship on all their products so far as been superb but I'm a bit disappointed in the sound. I was expecting less rasp and something quieter but it ended up being pretty similar to my Greddy Evo GT but higher pitch. However, it did it's job in removing the drone that I couldn't stand with the Greddy Evo GT. The fitment is very tight and if your front pipe/overpipe is off a little, the exhaust would definitely hit something.

Now with the JDL installed, I can finally fit my diffuser. The Greddy Evo GT made fitting the diffuser impossible due the canister design.

Just got back to Los Angeles after hanging out with a few friends in Vancouver. Now it's time to get the car ready for the annual 86 Fest track day. Only piece I'm missing right now is my e85 pulley that I've been waiting a long time for.

I'm finally replacing my 9 year old HJC helmet.

SPL Rear Control Arm
This is probably the nicest arm I've seen on the market. I don't see any reason to go with anything else.

Just started my install on my HKS V3 with upgraded pulley and I have to say the instructions are not the best. I had a HKS V-Mount for my RX-7 and the instructions on that is much better. However, if you read the entire instruction and you have an idea what you're doing, you can number the steps yourself to avoid taking off and putting back on parts. Overall the kit fits pretty well but the fitment gets VERY close with the Koyo radiator in there. This causes the AC condenser to get very close to the IC. I also mounted my SC cooler a different than factory from HKS since I had to mount my oil cooler in a similar area.

So a small review so far. The car feels pretty good and drives well at times. The biggest flaw to me with the sc kit is the HKS tune that comes with it. I'm running their e85 map and have been having some issues with it. At first I thought it was bad gas but I have been through 2 tanks of e85 and I'm starting to lean towards tuning issues. The two issues I've noticed is the delay the car has when tipping in throttle and the slight bogging you feel below 4k RPM. I'm going to be making an appointment with Evasive soon to get a retune but if I had known that I would need this, I would not have purchased the kit with their limited engine management.

That stinks man. I am kind of in the same boat with the kraftwerk SC. After purchasing it, I went with an E-tune. The car runs now but its very limited and you can feel it. I can't give is WOT thought it bogging out. (Seems like its not getting enough fuel) I scheduled a dyno tune for next month

be different, steer clear of the old heavy 2jz motor and try something new like a 2GR + turbo. That's something I've been considering lately

My original plan was to run a half bridged 13B but after messing with rotaries for so many years, I don't think I want to go back.

Racer X front lower control arms came in. These give you a wider track and also caster adjustments.

I really didn't want to go with the Beatrush bar but I had to due to all the crap I have in the front. It really gave me extra room to mount everything.
