Is it against some rules for a regular user to post price? I PM'd them as requested for pricing, never heard back. Be nice if we could stop beating around the bush like it's some state secret and just spit it out.

Its going to be around 12K+. I don't have the exact price sadly, but its north of 12k USD. Thats without shipping and the required OEM toyota parts. I don't want to beat around the bush either. But I simply don't have specific numbers.

I too want this gearset for my car. Direct replacement gears are what i am after since don't want to modify the trans tunnel or deal with getting custom parts made.

Ive contacted Holinger before and they have a direct bolt on sequential box but that gearbox actually does not hold much torque. The included box in that kit is the SG, which is rated at 270ft.lbs of torque. This was about 20K USD. So I scratched that idea right away. They did however offer the beefier RD6, but with a higher cost and the need to modify the tunnel.

We have options, I'm just waiting for more info on the TRUST gears. Having the ability to service the box myself with available (and affordable) spare parts is my end-goal since I do all the work myself.

Also, Ive calculated the total price for the required TOYOTA oem parts and it came out to 42,541yen, or about $380-400 USD. Which would bring the total without shipping to about 12.5K usd.

While it seems like a neat option why would anyone pay this much when Quaife makes a sequential box (69G) for 8200 euro complete. Which at the current and tanking euro to dollar amount comes out to just over $9300 making it much less.

Yeah I think that thing is only rated for like 300 lbs of torque or something low. If you guys want direct gear replacements go look at what Velox is putting together or if you want a full straight cut gear set PAR engineering makes them.

No. The Quaife box is completely different, it does not use any of the factory pieces as its a whole new motorsports unit. Quaife offeres two versions the 60g which will support up to 400whp or the 69g that will hold over 800whp. Both are true sequential gearboxes.

Velox and PAR still use the factory gear box and just swap out the gears. Problem with both is they use the crapy factory syncros that are absolutely garbage.

True, hopefully someone will come out with and provide some type of synchro upgrade. I talked with Jacks Transmission and there are some tricks and modifications they do to make the synchros operate more smoothly.

Does anyone know the maintenance intervals needed for the dogboxes?
Newbies like me may not know that dogboxes have generally have really short maintenance intervals making them not efficient for street use, so any information would be great to enlighten us so we don't just go straight chasing stuff that wouldn't fit needs.

Also, good luck in this drift season Ken.
