I have grown accustomed to my crickets and might panic if the sound stops.

My chirping is quite loud. But only after warmed up and idling, regular driving, or giving it any gas at all makes the chirping go away completely.

I can't for sure but I've filled up with Shell the last three tanks of gas and the chirps have disappeared. The true test will be during summer as the chirps always seem worse when it's hot and I'm in stop and go traffic.

Yeah I did the Shell gas for a while and it seemed to help and I just recently switched to ethanol free gas and it did wonders. The chirps are practically gone. As long as you aren't in a state where gay marriage is legal you will most likely be able to find the ethanol free gas.

I've only been using Shell and the crickets were there. I switched to Chevron but that did nothing, crickets still alive and happy.

My cricket problem started when I had about 2,000 miles on the car. I now have about 3,200 and still hear the crickets. How are dealerships handling this situation? Is there a fix for it?

There's no fix as of yet. Dealership will just replace it with the same part, so the chirps will come back eventually. I too switched to Chevron and found that the chirping is not as prevalent since.

Yes, which is exactly what I've been saying if you read any of my previous posts.

The only reason they're even replacing parts right now is because enough people are complaining about it and demanding action NOW instead of being willing to deal with a minor annoyance until an permanent solution (for those that care, anyway. I won't be letting any dealership touch my fuel pump.) can be found.

Bottom line: Impatience begets shitty solutions.

Thanks for the info. I use Chevron most the time and still have the chirping. Hopefully dealerships will have a better fix soon.
