I believe that was just a sway bar swap. Unfortunately it makes the body roll MUCH more noticeable on the street when you throw a fresh set of sticky tires on the car, but overall it's not a bad change. Definitely helps with grip out of the corners.

I really don't think it's worth it to buy new. The depreciation on this car is steep! 2.5 years and it drops 40% of it's value. Get a used one with low miles.

Yea that's my next upgrade on the list pilot super sports when the primacies go, and it's not the sway bar it's the rear dampers are now sachs dampers:
"the front suspension is stiffer and the rear shocks have been returned for "less body roll and a more communicative driving experience.""
Although a rear sway bar would totally undo that which would be a good idea.

Yes. Let's just all buy used so that sports cars have shitty sales and then car companies no longer make them so enthusiasts can complain about there being no cars to buy.

And no, the depreciation on this car is pretty damn good. I check every week to see if there's any Aozora BRZs for sale. The cheapest thing we have is an FR-S with 40K KM and minor body damage selling for 20K. Considering the fact a new 2016 FR-S is 27K and a new 2015 FR-S is 24.5K, buying it new is definitely worth it.

Yeah, unfortunately I was really in a bind for a car and couldn't buy/lease something else for 6-8mos while waiting on an order. Plus I would have missed ITS. (Literally put 900 miles on it, did oil and brake change then drove 300 miles to put it on Watkins Glen. )

All worked out for the best in the end. The guys at Peruzzi were really great. Finance guy knew I did all my own work, didn't push extended service plans or warranties. They wound up giving me better numbers (by $500) than I asked for over the phone (probably wiggle room on the trade-in) before driving out there.
