Brakes?

So, everyone that is saying to upgrade brakes... Are we talking big brake kit? Because that is costly. Or are we talking like stainless steel brake lines, performance oriented brake pads, and fluid? I was thinking slotted rotors, but I did some reading in other posts and the stock rotors seem good enough...?

Depends on how/where you drive. Do you track-race often? Then yes, BBK is good upgrade for more heat capacity and maybe cheaper consumables and even more so for turbo-ed car, which accelerates sooner, thus most probably will have to brake more.
If you don't race, just daily drive .. imho on average DD it doesn't differ THAT much on amount of braking (unless you always break speed limits and drive endangering others in traffic, and if with turbo you will be breaking more :P), so stock brakes might be sufficient even after going forced-induction. Within speed limits, among traffic, very probably frequency and amount of braking won't change drastically.
P.S.
+1 to get square tire width setup. With more power wider tires? Fine. But keep same width on all four corners, to keep car's oversteer/understeer balance, to keep having driving aids functioning properly, to keep ability of tire rotation.

Based on bolt on turbo, and no track/autoX, I say go with a better pads, and new brake fluid.
SS brake lines and BB kits are more for track orientated.
The trend is pretty much power level under 300 stock stuff works ok. After 300 you need to beef up stuff.

Can't believe you're the only one who mentioned camber bolts - more than a 'little bit' of camber, try getting camber bolts and maxing them out. Camber plates + camber bolts would be even better - you could get -2ish camber in front, will really make the nose of the car much more responsive and fun to drive. Depending on how low you run the car, rear LCA's might be helpful as well. I actually don't run them, but run camber bolts in the rear - not as much room for adjustment as LCA's but plenty to even out the rear camber and dial it back a little (still think I'm around -2 both sides). Car feels and looks great!

Lastly - it's all a matter of opinion to a point - but for street you don't need to upgrade your brakes.... again unless you're going for the street performance 'look' (big discs to fill out your big rims). Stock brakes are plenty for any street driving - invest that money in better dampers, camber plates, etc.

Yeah like others said you will need LCA's, and top hats. Again like others said do brake pads and fluid. You could also do some rear end bushings to help put the power down.

Side note:
Don't forget the clutch and axles (If you launch it hard haha)

Edit: Also I would not cheap out on your coils. They have a massive effect on how the car feels/drives

You'll have a good bit of power but I'd stick with a 18x9 or even 18x8.5 wheel.

I would think about adding a few key bushings to the rear end with the power.

so... which are the key bushings in your opinion?
