Now my question is, would you recommend I repaint the kit (dunno if thats possible) to the exact same color? Cover it with some sort of a decal? Or just forget about it?

You will never get a 100% same finish, that's why most smash repair companies alway say they can't match it exactly. Mine was painted in orange and they got pretty close.

Hi, nope that's a Dubai plate mine is an Abu Dhabi plate but otherwise looks exactly the same, notice the slight color difference? I have the exact same.

I'll try and post some pics for you.

That kit belongs to the 2012/2015 gt86 white while the 2016 is a slightly different color.

One more thing, red light comes on at 7400 rpm and cut off at 8200 or 8400 rpm right? That's the standard?

Depending on the headunit you have, the voice navigation should work. I have the 2014 Panasonic headunit in my 2013, and the command:

"Destination <street number><Street name><City><State>" (US obviously) works almost 95% of the time. The "Find Next" and then a point of interest works about 70% of the time although can be a little frustrating.

Thanks a lot.
My '13 brz sport tech nav will only be unlock if the parking brake is on, otherwise it's always locked.

Also, if I open my door before turning the engine off I get the beeping, but not if I turn off the engine 1st and then open the door.

That could be it. Turn off engine then open door = no annoying beep. Open door then switch off engine= annoying beep. I'll try it.

Well now... Hmmmmmmm

Red line is 7,400.
Keep going to 8,200 or 8,400 and yes, the red light will go out.
Eventually, forever (or at least until you put a new engine in)
Did your car not come with an owner's manual? If not you may want to get one. If so you need to give it a read. Soon!

The beep is there to tell you that the fob is still in the car and if you are opening the door before shutting it off it thinks you are leaving.
Who opens their door and then shuts off the car every single time anyway??????

Cedars, I had a feeling you had a GTX 86.

As long as you don't believe that there are any power differences, you're all good.

I realized that the plates were from a different country, so I changed my post before I saw you had replied.

We discussed the color difference on that Dubai car briefly.
Before the owner was banned from the forum and the thread was deleted.
Not to worry though, your posts are on a whole other level so far

I personally would argue that the problem is that the white color has changed between model years, and the only solution I would accept would be if the dealer plucks off all the body kit stuff and respray them before putting them back on.
If the parking sensors are a different color too (as they seem to be on the Dubai car) those should simply be replaced with new ones in the correct color.

??!!!???!!?????! Is this a serious question? Friend, the red light isn't the ONLY thing that's going to cut off at 8400 if you keep taking the engine that high.

You can adjust when that red light comes on; it's purpose is to warn you that you are approaching the engine's redline .. the "never exceed" rpms which on ours is 7500. Read the manual or search this forum and you'll find a procedure that will allow you to set that light at any RPM you wish. I'd suggest going a little lower than 7400, ESPECIALLY if you're used to taking the car up to 8400!!! Set it at 7000.. heck, set it at 6500 as sort of aversion therapy.

Unless OP did some serious money-shifting to the engine, the engine RPM cutoff is at 7400 RPM. I wouldn't worry about it unless OP's car had its cutoff raised somehow or he's constantly banging on the car 7400 RPM.

Hi Thanks for that. So you think they can repaint the bumpers? Is it doable on bumpers? Dont they have to strip it down to the aluminium or carbon first, or do
they just repaint the thing on top of original?
