You know that can be said about pretty much every scion right, and not just the 86?

Also, in my opinion, the car looks more expensive with Toyota badges.
Just put Lexus badges on it then.

Until the FR-S came out, I didn't give two shits about Scion because nothing in their lineup was even remotely appealing to me.

I was happy to see that Toyota brought the 86 here and didn't give a shit that it would be coming here as a Scion. It was here, that's all that mattered.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to be pissed that it's here as a Scion. Worrying about being lumped into the same category as the people in the video isn't one of them. If anything, stop giving a shit about what others think of you and your Scion and enjoy your car.

Your a douch.

Honestly, for the past year of being on here i can tell your personality sucks in real life.

Your one of those people who has to put others down constantly to make yourself feel superior.

And you do this so often to so many members on here constantly.

The Integra with a red H badges actually makes sense. The Civic however......

At this point the Scion badge is truly associated with the teenage/youth demographic. Hence, probably why they didn't want to market the FR-S as a Toyota in the first place. Besides it's cool having random people come up to you on occasion asking "Wait, what Toyota is that?!".

That just what word-of-mouth and Scion fail marketing.. The average Scion owners (besides the Fr-S) are over 30 lol. They admitted Scion has the opposite effect of what was intended.

I don't care about what badges people put on their 86. A car person will know what you drive no matter what badges they saw. People that don't know the car won't give a damn what the car is. So it's pretty pointless trying to fool people that doesn't know anything about cars...

Don't be like Michael, trying so hard to be what he isn't lol

I would have preferred it if the car was a Toyota in the States, but at the same time I'm not about to go buy a $20 piece of cheap plastic for my steering wheel to cover up the Scion badge.

If you're going to rebadge the car I feel like you should go all the way or not do it at all.

I bought the FR-S because I consider it to be an updated version of the Nissan Silvia, not the AE86.

Body wise it has nothing but the number 86 on the fender badges to indicate any connection to the AE86. It's a traditional long-nose sports coupe body (like the Silvia). Weight and HP are dead-on to an S13 Silvia.

The performance versions of the AE86 were more like a hot hatch than a purpose built performance chassis. It earned most of its performance potential by being lightweight (~500 pounds less than an FRS/BRZ).
