My 215 RS-3's already stick out past the 7" rim and look a little wide. I've always been told RS-3's don't deal well with oversizing like a Hoosier, or even a starspec.
People seem very opinionated on this one... Andy Hollis is very very far on the side of not oversizing street tires, while others are like f'yeah, stuff a fatty on there.

Thanks for the help, once again, Sam (You too MTeator). I think with that info, I'll go with a 215 stocker, keep the gearing short. The 215 R-S3 is a decent bit lighter (3lbs each due to no XL load rating) than the 225 so I'll try that. Also keep the sidewall a little more stiff I'm thinking, since it's almost perfectly flush on the7"

If it wasn't so hot here I'd go with the starspecs and a 235 width. I'm told they have a stiffer sidewall and suffer less from oversizing.

I run a 225 rs3 and star specs on 17x7 rims. On my frs with stock alignment the temps on the rs3s were almost equal inside middle and outside. It was pretty cool to see. I did start spraying the kooks down around 140 though.

This thread now has video!!!
This was my 4th run, and also my slowest of the day. I completely botched the final slalom, cant really see how bad it was from this camera angle.
