That looks awesome! Just wished there was a version that didn't have the passageway for the sound tube so it could be deleted.

Great find! This is about the best/cleanest looking intake system to date. Let's hope the price will do sane levels when it's been around for awhile.

Do you have any idea what it costs to bring a product to market?

Can't say for sure, but when people sell custom exhaust systems for less than a grand. I can tell you that this plastic piece is way too much.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Also, as a consumer we must realize when we're paying for quality or for name brand or for both. Also in this case many companies who get their products to market first charge a premium because there are limited options for the consumer and "early adopters" have deeeeeeeep pockets.

That intake looks amazing; my mindset to not mod so I can compete in SCCA stock class is really being put to the test with all these awesome new parts coming out =P

Its a standard aluminum tube with black crinkle paint applied and foam pop filter. The molded platic housing is a nice touch, however, helping shield the intake air from engine bay temperatures giving you cooler more dense air. I don't feel that this added component warrents the excessive cost though. R&D on something like should this be quick and fairly inexpensive. Being as they are one of the few if not only ones offering a "cold" air intake they can take advantage and charge this amount untill the big manufactures step in and put out CAIs for 175 like they usually do. Unless you buy anything from ARC lol.

I actually dont mind the cost, the construction of it is simply what I pictured an intake system for this car would be like. CLEAN and prolly well tested for good numbers

The ST classes are always fun too! And you won't get tempted into buying r-compounds!
