One more FRS (or something similar depending on what is out there in 2019) and then into retirement car.

Forum wise, I am starting to get bored and will probably just slowly fade away over the next few months.
You drive 40k miles a year? Damn, that's a lot.

Btw, I intend to keep mine for at least 10-15 years. Now that I got a decent 2nd car (2015 Optima, Kia is practically giving them away since the remodeled 2016's are about to come out) the FRS will be my fun/toy/project car.

That has been lower in the last year. I am usually pushing 50K. I am responsible for 4 different plants that are 45 minutes to 2 hours away from home so I spend a pile of time on the road.
This is why the FRS was perfect for me since as an inexpensive but still fun car I can chew it up and throw it away without feeling bad.

Plan A: Keep it until I hate it. Either it becomes a money pit or I have it forever, hoping for the latter but the former is not an impossibility, sometimes something is just not worth it. This was my original plan when buying the car.

Plan B: Mazda RX-Vision becomes a real car and lives up to what I want in an RX, 86 gets traded.

Plan C: Car gets wrecked, go for a few test drives, see if there's a more fun option out there, this may end up with me sitting in another 86 looking at Plan's A and B again.

So either ~5 years or some indefinite number that's impossible to predict.

Hahaha! I'll keep this car until my old body can tolerate getting in and out of it.
I've kept my cars until I needed a new one. This will probably be my last car. It's a keeper. It'll be a collectors car.

OP Your poll says "Forever until it dies!" what about option #2 "Forever or till I die"..??

I'm a old Jedi Knight.

I`m hoping to keep it for a long time. Probably until it dies a glorious death by crashing on a race track... and it`s going to need a write off or I will want to rebuild it and turn it into a track only car.

I originally planned to trade in my AT FRS to MT BRZ Limited in about 5 years time or so but considering how this is my first car (getting really attached to it hahahaha;;; ) and living with AT is pretty good i think ill keep it to the very end (and maybe restore it down the line), granted that it doesnt get totalled. In the future, I'll probably hunt down some White out MT Monogram and give my car to my kids in the very distant future.

Considering I kept my last car ('78 280Z) for 28 years before buying the BRZ, I'm not one to go through cars often. But, learning from that experience, maintaining an old car can be expensive. So, i'm estimating keeping it another 10-15 years at least.
Plus, my car is very low mileage since my commute is only 4 miles each way. i've had my BRZ since march '13 and i'm just under 7000 miles total so far.

Most rational statement so far. I have little doubt that many of the "forever" guys will either become bored with the car, their life style will change, something newer and shiner will show up or the car will just plain die and be replaced much earlier than they may think right now.

As long as I can, since the FR-S is the car I wanted to get ever since I saw it, beside from an Evo and GTR. I'm grateful to have this car!

Plus lots of customizations!
