Hope the passengers were alright... I wonder if he was running winter tires. Hmmm...

I've seen WAY too many cars without winter tires the last few days trying to sneak by winter this year... That's a BIG no-no...

On my way home from work 2 days ago; I was going up a hill full or slush and snow with ease;
Then I looked to my right and I saw a Corolla spinning its front tires trying to work its way up the hill but not going anywhere. I kinda just shook my head at the driver as I moved along...

Tsk tsk tsk... GETyerDangWinters!!

So my fr-s is a lease and I asked my dealer about what mods (if any) can be done without incurring extra costs or voiding my warranty or w/e. Even something small like switching emblems. Long story short, they told me that I could do whatever I wanted and nothing is voided or anything...this doesn't sound quite right and I don't want to be baited into doing something and then having the headache of an argument later on with my dealer.

Would things like emblems/lights mods be okay?

I know in terms of performance parts as long as I get the dealer to install them then it's all good..

Any sort of cosmetic applications should be fine including emblems...(Maybe except the driver steering wheel airbag)
As long as they do not affect the drive train or any major electrical components of the vehicle.

Then again... it all depends on the dealership. Some will go by the book and say ANY modifications not done with OEM parts and/or by themselves WILL void your warranty.

I would get that in writing by a higher up signed and dated

it depends on the dealership as far as I know but its alway easiest to do little mods and just swap back the stock parts whenever you need too

Tirerack and ship to Point Roberts since you are in Richmond its very close to you. Tires come in about 5 days and its all much cheaper than buying locally

Make sure you are able to put back all the orginal parts. Unless dealership keep your car for their own sell.

Anyone noticing any rust spots on our catback mid-pipe just before the axleback muffler?

Seems like our left rear wheel is kicking up the salt from the road up to that bend and is causing it to rust a little.

(Look inside the wheel well between the left rear wheel and the rear bumper)

There are couple good ones around here;

GrimmSpeed -> http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ght=GrimmSpeed

Perrin -> http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...rrin+Relocator

I personally got the GS one; Very good quality build, no complaints and still loving it!

Did you get it from local shops? Or online? I've checked out Boston Motorsports, and shipping to Canada costs $140+.

It was one of those things I got way before I even took delivery of my BRZ... Haha, it was a groupbuy thing so I couldn't pass up on it.

PM them to see if they can work out a better shipping deal... 'cause $140 just for shipping is ridiculous IMO...
