Anyone losing patience and hope of getting a BRZ? My salesman informed me that I'm likely going to be getting a 2014 model at this point. I might as well just keep my Civic Si long-term and get my deposit back. I need to replace the stock tires soon, and thinking of adding HID Bi-Xenon and in-dash Navigation to the Civic if I abandon the BRZ plan.

I really wish they allocated at least as many BRZs as FRS for Canada (North America?) or brought the fully-loaded Toyota GT86 over.

When did you place your deposit and which dealer did you go to?

Placed my deposit June 24 at Docksteader.

An option would be to get an FRS - rebadge exterior to Toyota badges, get Morimoto Bi-Xenon projectors and replace in-dash Double Din system. Still would be missing the dual-zone auto climate control, push button start, heated leather/alcantara seats and spoiler.

Did anyone go to formula drift at Monroe Washington last July 20-21? It was great! I have never seen SO many FRS's in one spot. It was nice to see the car in action too! I have a clip of FRS (Ken Gushi) vs Hyundai Genesis (Rhys Millen). Let me see if I can upload it for you guys...

Scion had a HUGE presence this year. Got my Scion Keychain finally (*ahem* scioneric*ahem* nevergotthekeychainyoupromised) and then some! =D

Alright guys, this is way overdue! We need to make a meet up before winter comes around again!
I'm getting the car opti-coated tomorrow and then it's ready to roll; so lets make an awesome meetup? Maybe even an ALL-DAY one if people are up for it!

lol! No you didn't miss me, you just didn't have any when I came to pick up the car. You did tell me to come by some other time, but I've been so busy. When I got the keychain at the drift competition, it hit me haha

But I'll come by see you on tuesday

Yeah I'm for a meet, I barely see any FR-S, BRZ on the road.

Update from this weekend:

As some of you guys were aware, I was out Autocrossing the car at this weekends VCMC event out in Pitt Meadows. I managed to place 2nd over all in C Stock class although the car is capable of going MUCH faster. MY FR-S actually had a chance to beat the 2001 Miata on Race Tires which ultimately ended up winning C stock. But I was surprised to see how great the FR-S actually is with a decent set of road tires. I could have beaten a lot of racing tire guys if my driving was better.

My fastest time of the day was a 48.226. Which is not too bad considering I ended up 9th out of 28 novices. Most of the novices who placed ahead of me were running cars which were not stock. So I didn't do too badly.

A friend with 10 years AutoX experience managed to get a 44.980 in my car. That just shows me that I have plenty to learn. I think the difference though is just down to how much "on throttle time" you can manage and I probably got a little scared.

Here are some photos of the car all done up. Next event for me is either this Sunday (not sure yet due to work) or the Aug 11th / 12th weekend for the VCMC Championship. I've already pre-registered for the Championship event and will be there for sure.

Ben
