I'm still surprised that they didn't even know what's going on. As I showed them, it was posted on Jalopnik; a major news site for automotive news. On Jalopnik, they even show a picture of the "Tech Tip" talking about this very problem.
I'm done with OpenRoad though. Regency Toyota is right next to my house and plus, we have one of our members who works there - Scioneric. After my free oil change, I'm going to stop going to OpenRoad. I got a way better feeling from Regency Toyota on the day they had their release party. You can really tell Eric and his staff care about the FR-S more then the sales people at OR. I'll let you guys know if and when I hear something from OpenRoad. I doubt it will be quick though. If I don't hear anything by Thursday next week, I'll go back and ask them what's happening. Ben

Yeah that would have been me in the Blue FR-S. I wasn't very happy with what the Service Guy had to say.
But they did say they will look into my issue with the tail lights. EDIT: I just got a call from the service dept at OpenRoad. For some strange reason they required me to send them some pictures of my taillights before they could do anything. I fired off the email and they should have them now. Not sure why I had to prove this to them though. It's not like I've wrecked them somehow and I'm looking for new ones. Ben

I will take it to Langley if I have too though. I'd like to get them fixed before I start seeing half of English Bay appearing in my lamps like Jay did. Oh and don't feel bad about making a mistake. I have a good story about something stupid myself actually. Last week I was driving home and I heard something rattling around inside of the trunk. I was like "what the hell is making all that noise? there's only 2 towels back there". So I got home and pushed the trunk release on my key and it wouldn't open. I started to panic. I thought "Oh no!!! somethings broken and I have to take it in". So I searched through the manual and found the trunk lock hidden under the lip at the back. I had totally forgot about this because I was in a panic. I put the key in the lock and opened the trunk to find ..... a red onion and flakes of it all over the inside of the trunk. It turns out that when I drove home with a load of groceries on the previous day, the onion had managed to find its way out of the bags and onto the trunk floor. I somehow missed taking it out of the trunk on the previous day. So as I was driving around during the day, somehow the onion had gotten flung to the far left corner of the trunk and it pushed the trunk open cancel button. This is what caused me to not be able to open the trunk! Kinda stupid I know.... but at least I didn't have to go all the way to the dealership to find this one out. I wish I would have discovered this BEFORE Marloon got into my trunk! That would have been a good prank. Ben

Scion pays for first oil change? Do you need some sort of coupon or it is automatically redeemed?

You don't need any coupon. Just head to any Toyota service center they will do the first one for free. If you have difficulty. Just go to our dealership.
