I dont do windshield bc eventually it builds gunk and here attracts bears!

...jk it attracts bugs that like to poop on glass and drop dirt turds. Also seems blurry when it rains.

hmmm, never get bugs on my windshield...unless it's bugs splattering themselves onto it while I drive down Hwy 37.

Which wax do you use, and do you buff it all off? Also good to note is I clay bar the windows too, before applying wax.

I've used Meguiar's Gold Class before, didn't have issues then either, even when I lived in Sac where there was also a bunch of pollen/dust/bugs. haha. Maybe the salty air there? I have since switched to Collinite 476s wax, and hand apply/buff off.

I was just down there not too long ago, and didn't have any issues.

DON"T WAX THE WINDSHIELD!

Wax causes the bug splatter to ball up; that attracts the bees looking for moisture; which attracts the bears following bees, looking for the bee hive (honey).

When the bears don't find any honey, they look inside your car and see your backpack and associate that with food. After they tear the doors off your car and still don't find any food ....... they trash it just because they are pissed off. And if you should happen on the scene ...... you wind up at the bottom of the food chain ...... when you thought you were at the top .....

humfrz - must have skipped at least one med this morning .....

OP,

I know it isn't the same blue, but I clay barred, polished, and waxed my bro's blue streak metallic Prius c, and it was crazy. I'm sure WRB would be super reflective as well.

Is there really a reason not to do this. I've tried it and I have mixed feelings.

I've heard it's not good for plastic headlights.

My headlights look better than the cars we have at our dealership. lol. I've used "pure" carnauba, synthetic, and hybrid (what I'm using now) on headlights and windshields. Never had any issues. Less bug guts sticking on both, more protection from headlight lens hazing, etc. The only thing I won't wax are black plastic trims and rubber. haha.

It really does work as well as rain-x.
