Ozium works great at eliminating the other skunk smell, should work on traditional skunk!

After what 86Geek posted, you should take a dump in your car to get rid of the skunk smell.

I live in town! Actually a city with a population of 400K+. The upper windows and roof were sprayed when an owl picked a skunk up off of my side deck and it sprayed all the way up.

I have experienced exactly the same thing last year.
Here are some suggestions. You can do them step by step.

1. wash the under body use high pressure washer(mixed soap first then water). You might need to do it several times.

2. Use Dakota Odor Bomb Car Odor Eliminator

3.leave a bag of coffee bean in your car, and leave your car under direct sun as often as possible(with window slightly opened). Or open the heater and leave the coffee bean in your car.

4. if you have a garage and if possible, put a coffee machine in you car and cook a bottle of coffee there.

5. change air filter.

I did all of these above and the car smell better after a few days. However you can still smell it especially after rain.

After about a month it smelled significantly better.

See told ya! All the fancy methods are not needed for skunk on a hard surface. If the oils lasted for weeks then half my city would be uninhabitable.

Around here, skunks are basically suburban dwellers that prefer the comfort of living under people's decks and eating out of their trash cans to roughing it in the bush. I'm surprised there aren't more "The 'Coons vs The Skunks" gang wars. (fingersnaps...)

Had a possum and skunk battle it out on my side deck once. Was a good show. I am over near the ponds at Pondmills so we have possums, skunks, coons, coyotes, foxes, deer, hawks, vultures, owls, geese, ducks and even deer all in the centre of town. They are all very urbanized and street savy.

We're in genteel Wortley, so it makes us nervous when the racoons come out at night with their jeans hanging low and their cigarette packs rolled up in their shirtsleeves.
