I really like the hood vents. As long as they are half the price of a vented hood I think people will purchase these.
Some of us aren't scared to cut a giant hole in our hood but must are; so the price needs to be fair and right.

I'm curious as to whether or not hood ventilation may reduce or eliminate the frequency of coil pack failures. Most of the cars that see regular track duty are replacing coil packs every few months, I have a vented hood and I've only had one failure despite many track days in the southeast. Your experience?

When I left the under body pan off, after a long drive I would pop the hood and it was warm but with the pan on when I popped the hood it was like "yikes!" Hot when I opened the hood. I don't have hood vents and I really don't want to leave the pan off. I'm leaning towards hood vents.
I still may modify the pan to have 1/2 inch strips for air; Even if I get dirt or dust. These temps can't be good for long term. Look were all beta testers for the real sti brz!

According to a post on their Instagram: "$200ish for the vent kit, over $200 with the rain guards."

I'd be willing to bet other vents, as long as they evacuate engine bay air, will do something similar |

For those curious about the Velox Motorsports kit, we have started an informative thread regarding the units. It is located here.

I think the same crash/crumple issue can be applied to the CF hoods as well. PS - I chose the Velox and pleased.
