That moment when there are more miata owners in your area than 86ers.

Thanks for saying hi tho!

Well, I traded it in for the FR-S.

Why?

After 7 years and 88,000 touring miles, mostly top down, we covered most of the western US and Canada in that little car.

Our 2006 Miata served us well and we never had a bit of trouble with it.

However, mrs humfrz had just about had it with the "roadster experience", so, I traded it in for our FR-S. The FR-S is a bit quieter, roomier and being a coupe, is a better all-around touring car for us.

However, it's still fun to drive.........

Think on the positive side, 100% sure you are the only guy in Nevada that has a cosworth & is into properly modding their frs. (Vegas is more about slap on cheap coilover & bro out. )

Actually you are probably the only guy that's into tS build other then me.

Thanks! Yea I'm the only STI, tS, Cosworth etc. anything out here. On the occasion I see another 86er they're completely stock... Give em the thumbs up and they ignore me -_-

When I go to Vegas the scene is much more "vibrant" haha?

Cheers, here's to OEM+ 🍻

It's vibrant, rocket bunnys or all sorts of body kit, super chargers...etc
Ppl mostly have exhaust & light mods atleast. :p

Only problems is that 1 out of 20 or 30 frs/brz owners are about autoX or track. Most guys with super chargers drive them like muscles.... Which is understandable cuz road here suck hard....nothing but straight.

Most of the 86 crowd here don't even go to track or driving school before they get 9-10 inch wide rims on stock power......which is just a huge waste....makes me shed a tear in my heart.

Most owners just brought them cuz It looked nice I guess. I would love to meet you one day & see that cosey is all its glory. 😁

One tS guy to another. 😈👍

Seriously, whole town is a stop-light race.

Up here we have some excellent roads, especially up and around Tahoe. It's the kinda country the car was made for.

Yea I'll eventually go SC too, but I will almost certainly stop there. Anything more upsets the rest of the car. Hard to swallow, but I'm starting to lean more toward the edelbrock as opposed to the Cosworth tho... I hate the look but it gets the job done with warranty, carb cert the works for 2/3 the cost of the Cosworth. 😭

Take a drive up and experience some real roads!

^ haha if you decide to get the edelbrock let me know so I can see if I wanna dip in that cosey..😂

Actually I was looking @ the edelbrock cuz the warranty....😅 temptation is strong with this one.

What are the roads like? Sounds interesting... I drove to Cali 6 times in my 1 year ownership to wreak Hovok in Cali mountain roads....

Haha fer sure.

Yea edelbrock was smart. Everyone is starting to look at FI and used 86 prices are starting to hit the sweet spot. It's all the perfect storm and the warranty and carb cert will push everyone over the edge, not to mention price!

Pretty much you can drive around all the way around Lake Tahoe and it's nothing but S curves, hairpins, up and down, with some straight shots. All amongst beautiful scenery.

The most fun I had on a road is by San Jose... Highway 130 That road is so much fun.... Small country side road that goes through entire hill range with 75% sharp turn& hair pins.
