Had $12.5k into the FR-S when it was totaled. So far, have put about another $2000 into the BRZ thus far.

Jackson Racing FI with oil cooler and HBP. (5k)

Full Amuse System (5k)

Enkei Wheels (2k)

Brembo BBK (5k)

e85 Flex Fuel Conversaion (2k)

So thats 19k, plus all the tunes, labor, headers, clutch, who knows what else. Theres also all the money I wasted with Prime Motoring before switching to Moto-East.

God I don't want to think about it, but now that I am...
Wheels and tires- $1800
Brakes - $1500
Exhaust stuff - $1100 (bought a whole lot, but generally got my money back selling used)
Chassis stuff - $1200
Transmission stuff - $600
Tuning - $800
Suspension - $3600
Other Mods - $600

So about 11.5 without including other costs like track entry fees and fuel, but damn, still a good deal lower than some of you guys.

At this point some of us could of just gotten a lightly used Corvette Z06 that would spank what we have built

In the order I bought them:

SS Exhaust tips - 80
Used winter steelies and tires - 100
Hawk HP+ pads - 350
Motul RBF600 brake fluid (4 bottles) - 100
Speedbleeders - 40
Used HKS Hipermax 4 GT coilovers - 1000
SPC RLCAs - 350
SPC front camber bolts - 50
RR Racing sport performance brake kit - 1250
EBC yellow pads for BBK and stock rears- 350
SS rear brake lines - 100
Used summer wheels and tires - 800
Lugs - 80
Used all season wheels and tires - 250

Total: 4900 CAD

I felt guilty about this amount especially when I'm trying to save for a down payment on a house and I still want headers and OFT at least then I read this thread and don't feel so bad about it anymore lol.

It's okay man real estate is way overpriced now anyways.

Hope you paid off your car already if not soon.

I spent 5k just souping up my mountain bike over the years when I was younger so don't feel bad lol!

All those STI parts I got I must be over 10k by now. The car is just as slow as before but handles like a dream (could have bought an used Porsche instead but don't want to deal with the crazy upkeep). So glad I bought all those stuff before CAD became worthless.

So far the total value of all the different rims I have I have chosen but not bought would equal the GDP of some small Eastern European countries.
Math doesn't add up. The TRD exhaust alone costs close to $1000. Clear bra had to be $300-400.

That's insane but modding in almost any hobby (gaming computers, motorcycles, cars, RC cars) can get addictive. The dollars spent adds up very quickly. I learned at that a long time ago with RC cars.

Btw, with my FRS I'm at about $5k. And I'm boosted. I will probably spend another $2-2.5k on wheels, tires and an exhaust then call it mostly finished.
