I don't think he wanted to accept the fact that it happened

Under $1k so far.

$300 more or less, for the parts to adapt a '15 WRX oil cooler.
$40 for license plate frames,
$80 for battery holddown and oil filler cap,
$0.75 for a semi used foam ear plug and a cap to stop up the cabin noise maker,
$40 for tire plug kit and small compressor
$40 for first aid kit, and
$50 or so for a sunscreen.

In the near term, it probably won't go much higher (I hope).

On the sooner rather that later list:

$160 RaceSeng shift knob (probably a TopOlogy) and a
$80 RS RLO.
$250 +/- to JPM Coach Works for some alcantra bits,

and that will do me for a while.

The car handles so well off the showroom floor that it seems pretty hard to make it better and pretty easy to make it worse and other than making it ride like a buckboard the sad thing is I probably don't drive hard enough often enough to be able to tell which way I pushed it. Power wise, it's quick enough for an old man's motorcycle replacement.

Doesn't help that I have 3 sets of wheels (17x9 for AutoX, 17x8 for road trips, 17x7.5 for winter) but otherwise STX stuff: header and full exhaust, tune, intake, coilovers, bbk, light battery, rear LCA's) - only non-performance mods are dash-cams (I live in the city and I consider them necessary,) hood struts, and the grimmspeed pulley cover/tray.

I might have to spend a bit more on tuning suspension this year, and some data-logging (do that first probably... fix the driver before the car!)

Just wheels and a double DIN video head unit. Nothing more required to be damned-near perfect.

I'm just under $1500 at the moment.

30% Ceramic 3m Tint on all windows except front = $500
OFT = $500
Berk Muffler Delete = $300
JDM Alcantera Center Console Knee Pad Thingies = $75
250w 10" Kicker and 250w Kicker Amp = $100

Some days I wish I had a car payment so I would have had more $$ available for mods, but I owned my BRZ the day I drove it off the lot. Good timing in life landed me little nest egg in the bank so I bought my sexy flat out, then blew the rest on a 2 week vacation cross country in my BRZ.

Saving for the Edelbrock SC now.
