Thanks for the suggestions, out of those you listed, which would you recommend starting with once I finish Aldnoah.Zero?

If you wanna keep watching robot, then The Knight of Sidonia.
If you wanna change thing up, then Sinbad & Magi.
If you wanna watch some action, then Fate Zero.
If you wanna watch easy story, then Silver Spoon.

I like switching things up so it doesn't feel like I'm watching the same thing, so maybe I'll either try Sinbad & Magi or Silver Spoon next.

Boy, did I underestimate Fate Apocrypha. I loved Fate/Stay Night + remastered and Fate Zero...now this season has a Fate Apocrypha, which takes place in a parallel world to fate/stay night....definitely recommend this! The action scenes are SUGOI AF.

What do you think, Frankenstein?

the Magi series are my favorite at the moment, I would recommend starting with The Adventures of Sinbad and then watching Magi (1 and 2), that would put it in order of the timeline of things happening even though Sinbad came out after the original 2. Also The Devil is a Part Timer is a surprisingly good/fun watch

I started watching Silver Spoon, which I must say is rather funny. I may watch Sinbad next or switch over to Knights of Sidonia or Fate Zero before Sinbad.

That sounds familiar. It's about some kings that fight each other for control of the streets right?

yes, it just always struck me as unique, like a bit of a mix between mythical and real. very fun to watch!

SERIOUS QUESTION:

I like anime, but the only series that I have really watched are more mainstream stuff. My favorites are cowboy bebop, full metal alchemist + brotherhood, mobile suit gundam, outlaw star, one piece, dragonball, hellsing, parasyte etc.

I'm looking for some recommendations on gritty action based anime, preferably sci-fi oriented that i may not have been exposed to through toonami over the years. Whats good?

Others can provide better recommendations, but right off the bat I know Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans ticks all those boxes.
