I think Zeta was just an excuse to kill everybody off lol! UC should have ended there.

Actually Gundam didn't take a turn for the worst until Double Zeta imo. That was a total mess. That universe became boring after a while cuz it just got really repetitive with the plot with each successive series.

I only re-watched Gundam when I got older. Back around that time in the 80's this was the coolest shit with the kids.

What about Code Geass?

I enjoyed Guilty Crown, but I don't recall much mecha.

I liked Macross Frontier a lot as well.

I think you'll like it. Not as great compared to other well known series but on its own, its enjoyable.

I thought g33k have seen CG before so I didn't put it in there. CG was good. Loved the ending... idk why they're bringing that series back. Just like Eureka Seven, they should of left it there, but NO~~~~~ they had to fck it up & make Eureka Seven Ao. Ugh... can you tell I'm not looking forward to new Code Geass?

GC no, they didn't have much mecha, but they did fight against several mecha in the series.

Frontier was good. Great Valkyries, gear songs, great charas... but plot had a bit more spice, I would of loved it more. But it's one of top an Macross series for sure.

I have not seen Code Geass, it has been on my radar for some time just never got around to it.

Everytime I see the name Guilty Crown I always read Guilty Gear, got to download that onto the psp and play that again.

Haha I have seen it and enjoyed it. I was just wondering why it wasn't on the list of mecha anime when this discussion started because it was pretty substantial.

Attack on Titan season 2 started this week.... first episode was pretty amazing!

I guess if I really wanted to know what happened I could have just read the manga, but I hate switching between the two halfway through the story, there's always things that get changed so it's confusing...

I heard from the manga readers the anime follows the manga quite well, at least with the previous season. Completely forgot it started earlier this week.. still busy trying to finish shows from last season, and previous seasons haha

I read AoT after watching first season of anime. Anime followed pretty close to manga, so transition wasn't bad at all. All I wanna know is, how the Director gonna handle this nightmare part of manga. Where first season of anime left was there manga got extremely BORED!!!!!! Go though all the side charas story... which was pretty pointless. Result, I gave up reading AoT in general and I'll prob wait for all the epi of AoT comes out and see if it's worth watching or not.

Sadly, TV series went too fast and caught up with Light Novel too fast. Hell, manga is only up to 3rd vol (atm). In 1st season they went through mid way of 3rd vol... vs LN currently on 7th vol (which was released dec '16). Anime missed a lot of events to make things interesting... but they should of kept some of the events to make the story more in depth. Also in LN they just barely finished 2nd (or maybe was 3rd) big battle, so currently they don't have enough stuff to get things going. IF they gonna make 2nd season, it'll be at least a yr or two.

I waited years for season 2 for a few series, 1 year is short!

Might just go read the LN anyhoo since you mentioned few events left out. Plus, Visha looks much better from the LN pics I've seen!
