ok guys,
as per the race regulations, i have to change the tires to a semi slick tires (TMG spec goes for fully slick 245/620 17 as standard) so i have chosen Toyo R888 the rims are coming with 18x8 ET50 and i have two options, either 225/45 17 or 245/40 17. i have chosen 245/40 17 for the tires & I'm not sure if there would be a good choice though. shall i go for this size or i have to choose something else?

I also run the R888 in 245-40-17 on my project BRZ.
What rims are you running? Mach V awesome runs in 17x9 work very well. Mike |

the brake duct look nice but be careful with wider tires, because the way they are located I assume there would be some rubbing at full steering lock with larger tires.

hi all,,
for those who was intrested to see my results, i have got the second place in the race itself & this is a short video of the race: [ame="http://youtu.be/ywFVRTzudUc"]http://youtu.be/ywFVRTzudUc[/ame] As per the race regulations, they force me to remove the rear diffuser, mirrors, & splitter!! ![]() ![]() and after the race i got disqualified due to faulty power logger inside my car! ![]() they have fitted a power logger from race technology in my car and it didn't recored anything during the race which was a pity! from the video you can see that: 1. im racing mostly against hondas ( type r dc5 & EP2) and other GT86 are really slow. 2. I need power! I'm obviously lacking of power! other cars are really faster than me in straight lines but I'm better than them in turns. now the next race shall be 6th of November and i have to prepare for it. my question is what to do! 1. I'm planning to reduce weight! a lot of weight! the car weight 2,651pounds (without me), while the race regulation shows that i can have minimum of 2,420pounds. i will remove the AC unit, but what else!? 2. im afraid to increase power using ECUTek as i might lose reliability! the race is a continuous hard driving for 1 hour around the track, so I'm afraid! what i can do here! 3. i need a dash for the power logger to read the data and make it visual to me. so maybe dash 2 I'm not sure help!
