More the second than the first, I would imagine. I haven't heard of too many people who have this issue, and mine is the first car they had a chance to get hands on and see the issue. They inspected the car 3 times before even doing anything with it, took a ton of pictures and notes, etc.

I'm guessing the bumper I received was a new mold they wanted to test out to see if it fixed the issue, an that's why they were willing to replace it (As well as to get hands on one that actively has the problem they've been hearing about). It seemed like there were a couple different ideas as to the actual cause (one engineer said the bracket the bumper attached to, the other said it was the bumper mold itself). So going forward, they won't be so eager to just shell out a couple thousand on a complete replacement. They'll likely come up with an alternate solution (new brackets, probably).

@Fenrir - 1 month later.... does it still fit good. Mine is still popping out and I've tried to reseat it a few times with no luck. I'm meeting with Toyota on another issue in a few hours and this is a problem I will be bringing up. I've seen some owners with newer FR-S's than mine and both sides look better than mine ever did. Drivers side is where my big issue is and passenger side isn't great but not popping out.

Everything on my end is perfect. They completely replaced the entire front bumper cover in my case, which I don't think they are keen to do for everyone. Short of modifying or replacing, not much is going to solve the issue if you have the same thing I had.

Thanks. Mine needs a repaint by Toyota anyway so they may just choose to replace the whole thing due to this issue. Our issue is identical. I even tried shifting the headlight brackets in and out to compensate and nothing works, the corner just springs back out after a few minutes. It just doesn't want to stay in there.

Yup, and since the issue is with the actual shape of the mold, no amount of clip adjustment will resolve it unfortunately. It can be shifted by drilling new holes, but that's really up to you if you want to go that route

I tore the A/C out of my MR2 but I definitely will not be doing that with the BRZ. I never used to like A/C but the auto climate control nowadays makes it much better. With the manual systems I always used to freeze my ass off.

Been a bit since last update, but not too terrible much has happened.

Got the car back from the body shop, went through a nightmare with shoddy workmanship on their end. The most recent being I discovered why my hood had been vibrating while driving.

So that's fun. Got a replacement bolt and now that is resolved.

Also got some Challenge stainless steel brake lines, superblue brake fluid, and Project µ NS400 pads. Some pics:

I'll have a full review of the lines up later today, but damn they make a difference. Much more solid brake feel.
