Is anyone else concerned that the jig they are using could possibly be off? With the way they are manufacturing these things, if 1 is off all of them will be.

Once air is flowing it drops back down to 194 degrees.

I would hate for people to defer the additional expense to expedite shipping. Just food for thought.

I'm getting mine done locally since I wanted a different finish.

But it will be coated for engine bay Temps

Has a delivered one not fit properly? Then I'd be concerned. Otherwise, when you pay for a product of this quality from a known shop there's the assumption that the jig was created accurately with vehicle tolerances taken into mind as well.

I'm skeptical if any exist.

If none exist, then there's no fitment issue.

How do you know that the temp difference is from the header's radiant heat?

Currently I have 30K miles on the car and use the OBD app torque to measure a number of items while driving. I cannot recall traffic driving conditions (summer or winter) where I saw the coolant temps rise above 194 degrees. I noticed after the header was installed while in traffic the coolant registered 208 degrees when the outside ambient heat was approximately 40 degrees. Once in fresh air the coolant temps dropped to 194 like usual.

This is just my personal observation and led to my suggestion that people may not want to skip the ceramic coating if they plan tracking or autocrossing their car.

Got it. Sent them an email about adding a coating, would hate to find out in July that I needed it.

That's the whole point of a jig, and EVERYTHING is made this way for exhaust parts.

You make an accurate jig and don't have to worry after that.

Yeah I'm aware of that, I was just speaking hypothetically. I'm not terribly concerned with it, but its definitely up there.
