Obviously you have not seen my third party test of JDL's header. Tuned base line and simply swapped JDLs part for re-dyno and retuned netting 27whp peak gain. With overlays and corrections / conditions posted including fuel information. Going back to the dyno to see if we can met further gains after extended street testing. I posted in baised and quality information.

Pretty sure the part is done...what bothers me is that if it's taking this long to get dyno results how long will it take to dial this in?

Are we waiting on every exhaust combo available to be tested? Are they making a base tune for all software platforms? are they trying to convince chuck norris to give up his tears to mix with the unicorn blood?

I won't have money until at least tax return time....so this is purely academic.

They might have better luck with the unicorn blood. Getting a tear from Chuck is next to impossible.

They are dealing with multiple parts in multiple configurations using two different tuning platforms. Motec and Ecutek, 2.5" config and 3" config and stock config and who knows what combinations of the 3 configs for the exhaust. So yeah it's not gonna happen fast. They have an extremely talented tuner on the job, but John doesn't have a dyno all to himself. He is a partner with PSI as far as I understand it. So the car may be going on and off the dyno as need be, parts are going on and off the car, ECUs are going on and off the car, and road tuning is also a consideration. Simmer down folks we are in the home stretch and they are burning the midnight oil for us.

It must be depressing having nothing else to do other than worry about the outcome of this header.

This. I have been on the other side of testing & tuning. It takes a long time to get quality tests done for R&D and actually see the benefits. You basically end up needing to retune everything every time a small change is made and its not a 5 minute adjustment. Especially when you consider how long it takes to flash the ECU with ecutek. And if they are working on multiple platforms it just makes it that much more complicated. It doesn't take just a few hours to test everything, it literally can take a day or two just to test 2-3 configurations. Remember you have to typically remove car from the dyno (which is strapped down) and get under it to work on the header and exhaust system.

The fact that everyone and a while nameless pops their head in here and actually answers the phone and confirms they are working on things says how serious they are about this. If they are pushing really hard and think they can get another minuscule difference with another revision IMO by all means delay it again if it makes it better in the end!

Its been a long wait for this damn header and I have followed the entire thing from the near the start and its exciting to see that nameless is actually pulling through in the end and taking orders at this point.

Could I please ask a noobie question that I do not believe has been posed: Any guess as to how much louder will the header make our cars? In my ride, I have 2.5 pipe from the over-pipe back, but my axle-back is Nameless 3 inch pipe with 5 inch mufflers. BTW, I have a Worx 2.5 inch mid-pipe and I'd happily replace it with a Nameless part if they could build one with a better resonator.

Louder. Appreciably.

It's going to be HOLY SHIT that's loud, but it can be tamed by a quiet system.

I would gauge this answer based on what the rest of your exhaust looks like.

Full 3" exhaust N/A with 3" flanged header was reported as the latter by Jason himself.

Well, I can confirm a 3" exhaust with a catless JDL UEL. Kittens ran, childen cried, and my apartment manager used it as an alarm clock to wake up in the morning. 0 complaints though! lol.
