sorry, I mean today I mounted a passenger seat...in the passenger side.
But I was frustrated that the only solution to mount race seat to the poem mounting point is to buy a seat base from "Planted". And without using a slider, the mounting point are too far forward. Using slider is out of the question as it raise the seat too high up for my passenger.

So I am curious to see how you plan on mounting the seat to the floor.

We're in the middle of moving our server to a new host, so our pictures will be down for a little bit. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Seats showed up!

We don't have our seat mounts made yet, but we will be releasing them as a product. Both fixed and FIA-approved double locking sliders.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this car. Since we've only got one engineer at the company, the BRZ is having to fall by the wayside for a week or two. We're busy trying to get some necessary work done on this bad boy. Some of you have seen it before.

We're designing a whole new suspension from scratch including uprights, A-arms, etc. We've got to get the parts out to the machine shops in time to get the car back together for testing in February. Since the BRZ doesn't require near as much design work, we can afford to let it rest for a little bit. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about it, just a little resource allocation problem.

Cage update! We made some progress this weekend on the dash bar, and added the landing plates for the firewall braces.

Yes, the dash bar is removable, and we've got the power steering mounted to the dash bar. Full AC clearance as well.

Very interesting, so you are not planning on putting back the OEM 'dash bar' , which is the foundation to put back the OEM Dashboard ?

Correct. We will have a new way to mount the dash which will be part of our production cage kits. It was very nice of the factory engineers to put the speaker surrounds in the corners of the dash, it'll make it SUPER easy to have some clean pass-through panels for the A-pillar bars.

Here's another update on the cage build.

The jungle gym of a rear cage:

Here's a shot of the harness bar offset, which allows for maximum seat room.

Door bars:

Although we won't be keeping them, it's possible to keep the factory glass windows installed, either for regulations or preference. We'll be removing ours, and making some brackets to fix the windows in a permanent upright position for transportation and storage.

Thanks for following this build! It's a slow winter for this car, but we're planning on doing some awesome things with this car when it warms up.
