I am having some trouble with my rear camera install...
in order for the rear camera to work, I MUST start my car with reverse gear... the head unit doesn't seem to react to the camera when I start my car in neutral.
do you guys have this problem???

did you make sure all your connections are secure and correct?

It happens every time. Although my wiring a little bit different from other guides online but that doesn't explain why I can only get it to work when I start the car in reverse gear

For camera power I actuary tap it to the reverse trigger, so it's not getting power when it's not in reverse. I tried to use an external 12v source to test it out and the result is the same.

For trigger I tap it to the 5th slot pink wire in the kick panel harness. It trigger signal should work every time since I can see my reverse light.

My conclusion is the head unit must have the trigger engaged when starting it up in order for it to work properly. Let me try to shoot a video to show you now exactly it looks

I just read a post about taping the camera power to reverse light, the head unit will not detect the camera if it's not start on reverse gear.

Sounds good, I'm only free in the afternoon on Sunday's if thats okay. I'm free other days during the week at certain times as well.
