Oh man, that's painful...
I hope the repairs don't take too long...

My bet is no fault. If his steps hit MrArmani, I would say he was definitely sitting in a blind spot which is a big no no, but the truck operator should also have had curved mirrors for blind spot detection.
This is why when I'm looking at going past a semi on either side I sit behind the trailer until there is enough room, then zip past them at relatively high speed. I've been nearly nudged off the road more than once on my freeway exit -- we have a 2 mile long exit only lane. |

Almost wrecked mine yesterday;
I was going straight through an intersection and a Chevy S-10 who was in the left hand turn lane pulled to the right, into my lane, when I was about 10-15 feet from him. I guess at the last second he decided he wanted to go straight instead of turning left. Stood on the brakes and the horn, the light changed to yellow right as I came to a complete stop and he continued through the light ... Otherwise I would have chased him down and told him he was "number one" with my middle finger. ![]() I have the feeling that if I still had the stock tires I would have plowed right into his passenger door, as I probably came about 8 inches from hitting him. Second time I have come uber close to hitting someone since I have gotten this car. The other jackass decided to start into the intersection on a 2 way stop where I didn't have a stop sign and he did. I'm thinking it's time for a dash cam.

It was totally the truck's fault, he admitted guilt. We were on a city road, I was in the right lane and he was in the left lane. He passed me, putting me into his blind spot, then forgot i was there and just merged into me. He got the ticket and admitted total fault. Driving through the city people weave around the narrow lanes all the time so i didn't realize he was actually merging into me until it was way too late.
I will say i am impressed with the traction control and ABS as I was able to keep the car pretty well controlled despite the roads being wet. The saddest part of all of it was the rental that insurance gave me is a Red Kia Soul..... |

I hate this to be my first post, but here it is... Lady tried turning left and squeeze by before I crossed the intersection, but the car in front of her stopped. I couldn't stop in time to avoid her...

You have to wonder what the average rate of car wrecks for a particular model would be, though. May not be higher for the FR-S, just more visible to us.

Was doing 60mph on one lane (each direction) road with traffic at rush hour yesterday when we came to a complete stop. This happens often on this road. I stopped without incident. SUV behind me stopped fine. Car behind him stopped fine. We're sitting there for about 30 seconds when I hear *crunch*! The next car coming up couldn't stop in time (ABS, so no squeal before the crunch). It was a G35 sedan - hood was buckled up like the FRS above. Missed it by 2 cars. Whew!
I always use my hazards when sitting there stopped on the highway or side road when there's a car coming up on me. The G35 didn't even hear for the shoulder - which was paved and clear. Just plowed into the back of the other car. I was quite nervous the rest of my commute home. |

i'm paranoid about shit like that, ashtray. that's why i like to drive in the 2 outside lanes, so i can hop onto the shoulder if need be. rather have rocks and dirt and whatnot in the underside than a crumpled hood and possibly face
