Mine's probably got the most miles/racing on it. Still love it. Just ready to turn it up on a flex fuel tune ASAP. My Centerforce clutch 'n flywheel wheel are awesome.

OK ,here's the results on a DynoJet, of the stock automatic . In 4th gear ( 1 to 1 ratio ) the car measured 140 WHP but here's the interesting thing. There's NO power dip at the 3200 RPM level. When you consider the stock manual get's 160 WHP it seems like it will be a much more steady power build up with no dip.
I'm going the expensive route using the Cosworth. Stage 1.3 package to 230 HP and then adding the supercharger and inter cooler in Stage 2 to 280hp( i'm guessing around 200whp for the automatic ) to be announced in August. MY main concern and the reason I'm using these parts is not to hurt this wonderful car. I don't want to tear it up with too much power!! I may be nuts but I want to have a safe build. There is no information on the automatic on the web so I'm flying blind on this one. I've consulted with many tech's on this so the build will be interesting |

I know everyone here is looking to have more events or meets here in the Oklahoma region. I have an idea for all FRS/BRZ owners. Please come out and run autocross with the Porsche club. I destroyed my last BRZ. I eventually went picked up a Miata, but now that is gone. The wife gets to run the Cayman usually so I have to have an additional track toy. Well, I should be picking up my BRZ Blue Series( I know its a lot faster with those red calipers) this week sometime. Anyways, since I have been without BRZ, I haven't posted in a while. In the meantime I have been autocrossing with the local Porsche club. Once a month the club has an autocross event at the sheriffs training facility on NE36th and Air depot rd. It is open to everyone and cost $30 for 8 runs. The good thing is, is usually there are only about 10 to 20 people running and we are done in half a day or less and not cooking our asses off at Remington Park. Please look at the course on GoogleEarth. You will notice it is not just a parking lot, it is full road course and we find creative ways to run on it. Plus, the guys out there are really cool and the atmosphere is about nothing but having fun(and being safe). Anyways, I would like to have more twins out there. If you have never done any tracking/hpde/autocross, you owe it to yourself to really bond with your car in a fun and laid back environment. The Porsche club autocross is perfect for first timers and its a great way to see if tracking your car is the thing for you. There is one this Sunday. Show up time is 8am to 8:45am, you have to be there by 8:45. Then we do a parade lap and then start the hot laps. Usually we are done by 11am and I have never been there past noon. If anyone is interested please let me know. I will be there this weekend in either my new BRZ or my 09 Black Cayman. Don't worry about how good you will do, cause it doesn't matter... what matters is that your with people who love cars and we are playing around and learning our cars on closed course. Anyways, just thought I would say hello again and mention an idea for us twin owners to get meet up.

The autocross schedule for the Porsche Club is as follows.
July 13th August 9th September 7th October 11th November 9th December 14th Note that in October I believe the time moves from 8am to 10am(Fall/winter schedule). It usually runs from 10am to 2pm. If you need more info the local Porsche club website is www.pca-warbonnet.org . We get all kinds of cars out there, not just Porsches. The website shows the calendar of events. Yes, all planned events on the calendar are for Porsche club members, but all autocross is open to the public. Hope to see you all there, or at another local event.

I just had a PM on some questions. They were good questions so I am going to share my answers here too.
You do need a helmet. It needs to be DOT approved, but not SNELL. Visors and face shields are not needed. Just a healthy helmet will do. You need closed-toe shoes. Shorts are okay. Long pants are not needed. You just need to show up and pick a spot to park. The PCA autocross manager will come around and assign everyone a number and collect the 30 bucks to run. Another club member will come around and check to make sure your lugs are tightened to factory specs. But as for equipment inspection that is about it. So, all you need is a car, a helmet and 30 bucks. Other guys bring some tools and food and water. But that's it. There are two port-a-potties out there. If its your first autox ever then usually someone will ride with you on your first few runs. The group that is usually out there ranges from 20 to 70 years old. Cars range from everything but typically I see Porsches(go figure), Vettes, Miatas, Mustangs, S2000s, EVOs and a BRZ just once. In fact I think there is a youtube video of the WRB BRZ at the sheriffs track.
