Saw a stocked red FRS with no front plate (but with a plate sticked inside the front shield on the passenger side) driving east on Valley Blvd towards Diamond Bar/Pomona direction between Lemon Ave and Brea Canyon Rd in Walnut at 3:50pm on Monday august 18.

Saw a white FRS on Vanowen and Canoga. He gave me peace sign and gave a thumbs up! Asian cat if I'm not mistaking. Saw a silver FRS and the owner gave me death stare as I gave him a peace sign....
I get mean mugged more than actual "wassups". Lol.

Fortunately or unfortunately, as the case may be, we don't always have control over what takes hold as a colloquialism.

In this case, it appears that stocked has taken hold and yes I used it....

It is, as invalid a logical basis it has for existing, now a colloquial term and we are probably stuck with it.

So yes we may have seen a stocked twin somewhere and we will likely see people continue to refer to stock vehicles as stocked...

Not much we can do about it except to use it or ignore it or complain (which often leads to it becoming even more cemented as a term) I for one will know almost immediately when the term is used outside of the ft86 community where it came from and it gives us a further means for isolating us as a group..

Isolating probably isn't the best term to use. It gives us uniqueness as a community, so instead of nuking it(Navy term for overthinking it), let's embrace it... or not...lol

I've never heard "stocked" until this thread unless referring to inventory of some sort.

I'm a closet grammar/spelling nazi. These things stand out to me like they are written in bold red type. But, I recognize that people don't like it pointed out and that I sometimes fuck up myself, so I usually remain quiet.

He mustn't be stock, so whenever he spots a stock looking 86, hence the term given.

Saw a stocked hot lava FRS with no front plate (either OEM tail lights or spyder, couldn't tell from far) on Diamond Bar Blvd driving west towards Pomona between Pathfinder Rd and Grand Ave in Diamond Bar at 5:35pm on Tuesday aug 19.

Gray FRS northbound on the 14 near avenue I at 5:30 today
