The fourth gen was designed in the 80s to look futuristic and "bold". So still about style. Just a different era's style. The bad thing was they let the same body stay relatively unchanged for over a decade, while Mustangs were getting changes. I still do like the late-4th gens with the LS1, but I still don't like the 80s future style. That's why I'm glad they are at least doing some changes now on a relatively normal model year schedule (5-6 years).

Ford did the same wind tunnel testing on the new Mustang for several hours. Probably yet another reason why GM also did it. The hood on the new Mustang is really long.

Well done CNBC... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=408382

(I bet GM ain't happy)

I want to see it next to a 5th, but so far just not feeling this 'evolution' of the 6th gen. I like the guts, but the outside... meh!

I actually rather like it. I will say the spoiler/wing on the SS variant looks a little dopey. The lip from the lesser model would look much nicer, IMHO. Also that weird crease on the back bumper doesn't look too good. Why even add it?

I think this was a reaction to the 5th gen refresh, where the feed back was that they took a chiseled rear fascia and made it generic and blocky. They tried to add back in some of the chiseled look, but I agree it's not working.

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Revealed On Morning TV

Quote:
One day before its official debut, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro received its cable news reveal and we get to see what it looks like undisguised.

Over at the GMInsideNews forums, members grabbed the first pics of the 2016 Camaro as it was shown Friday morning on CNBC's Squawkbox show.

Based on the parade of teaser shots from Chevy in recent weeks, the Camaro's overall look is in keeping with what we were led to believe. The body is certainly more sculpted than the outgoing model, which debuted back in 2009 after reviving the nameplate left dormant for seven years.

We know now the sixth-generation Camaro will be much lighter than its rather hefty predecessor and get new features such as magnetic ride control on the V8-powered SS models.

Full details will be released tomorrow.

That still looks like a really big car.

Liking the front, less so the rear. The new mustang took a while to get used to so i'm sure this will be a similar case.

The back just doesn't look aggressive at all. I hate the '14-'15 tail lights and they kept them on the '16. Ugh.

Doesn't look quite as fat anymore, but this is looking like a refresh rather than a new generation. It's saving grace is that LT-1 under the hood.

It looks like they mixed the rear lights from the 14-15 with the 'Vette's lights. I actually kinda like it. I love the front.
