You guys have an oil cooler for these yet?

If you read my post from above, I'm feeling oil was my issue. Im going to go to a good oil but I'd like to cool it if possible

We have a whole line of products in the works, oil cooler is definitely one of them in the R&D process!

So I don't know much (anything) about going to the track like you did in that video but it seems very frustrating that you're forced to slam on your brakes so early and hard because the cars ahead of you can't or won't corner as well as I expect you could. They're basically just drag racing with a few corners to turn the car thrown in.

Is that typical? Did you actually feel like you were getting to push the car through corners or were you held back a ton in the corners like it looks? Obviously I don't expect you to be dominating everyone on the track but you do keep catching up to cars at the corners over and over again.

I expected it, traffic is a normal part. Some of them don't hold me up TOO much but some of them do. HPDEs ar elike that but this one (SCCA PDX) is even more so because it's geared more towards beginners and it is more affordable than other groups. There is a second group that ran the next day of all advanced drivers. Now that I have two events with good reviews under my belt, they will let me run the more advanced group next time as this won't be an issue.

I kinda look forward to being the slow guy on track In two of these events, I've been one of the quickest beginner cars (other was in a non-turbo Mazda3 and I ran STRONG. Check other videos of my Youtube page for footage)

Over the 3 sessions I ran, I had okay time to feel the car while running hard. But the most annoying part really is early braking and braking and turn in is both my favorite part and where this car shines.

It's poor track etiquette and tends to happen in less experienced run groups. Rather than allowing a faster car to pass on the straights to avoid holding them up in the corners, the inexperienced drivers will push on the straights to stay in front.

The only bad one out there was the 240sx. It was an RB25 swap so it was very powerful but the suspension and chassis was shot. Poor quality tires and a very fresh driver (never autocrosses or anything even vaguely close to track before) Huge lines to get around him. to the point, he could never use his car even in straights as he had to use straights to let everyone pass him.

Next time I'll get to run with the more experienced drivers so hopefully I won't be the newbie causing backups

Friday night, we held a nighttime autocross (well, it was our mini-time attack which is a linked autocross with a warmup, 3 hot and 1 cooldown lap). It was soaked at first but dried up as the night went on. As wet as it was, I started out using Sport mode and really needed it. I opened up with the fastest lap in session 1. But then got passed in session 2 but a 960rwhp Supra, 1700lb STRIPPED Miata and a GTI.

When it began to dry up near the end of the night, I turned off the Sport mode. All 3 of my hot laps this time bested the fastest previous times from everyone else, with my best being over a second faster than the quickest cars of the night. I then went out for another run at the end of the night, just screwing around taking a passenger for a ride and repeated my FTD times, with then extra 150lb ballast riding shot fun.

Unfortunately I didnt set my GoPro on these laps. I turned it on and never hit record

Either way, finally setting an FTD was amazing for me

Bummer on the GoPro. Sounds like a good time though! Was that Supra able to put any power to the ground?

Yeah I figured haha. Those car's are pretty incredible, I haven't seen too many successful ones in autocross.
