I supposed he could have been trying to intentionally provoke a physical reaction from Clarkson and then went to the hospital to make sure it was properly documented. Maybe BBC orchestrated the whole series of events just so they had a legitimate reason to push him out. I mean, anything is possible.

Great post. I could not agree more. Top Gear has been nothing more than Monty Python on wheels for many years. That is not necessarily a bad thing for a comedy/variety show but it is certainly not a car show.

Probably not, though.

Judging by your knowledge of the subject. I'd say it's possible that you were there. You were a BBC employee, the unnamed one who broke up the altercation to make sure Tymon was actually alive so that the event could proceed as planned. Now though, as your silence is simply too risky to buy, your existence is denied by the BBC and you are on the run. You're dropping this hint here so that I may figure it out and bring out the BBCs deplorable plot.
