The FT(86) and specifically to what D_K and Mike were describing.

It's not a one vs the other.. It's D_K's specific S2 vs D_K's specific FT. The gremlin in the setup hasn't been fleshed out and it's unknown that once the setup is nailed if it will equal the performance of the other. At least that's my take.

False, argument is false.

Just because Macs are on a Porsche doesn't mean Macs are good. One could make the same false comparison inversely such as:

"Just think how good those Porsches could be if they had proper suspension!"

See what I did there?

Actually, it is a good argument because Porsches are already capable cars. It proves that MacPherson struts can be usable for the kind of performance Porsches are capable of, which is quite a lot. Whether double wishbones would make them faster or not is irrelevant to how fast they already are with struts.

How many generations have they done, and they're STILL working on it.

And they struggle to beat Vettes in GT2/GT3...

Porsches are a lot lighter in the front.

Have you ever seen a slo mo vid of a grippy tire 911 (iteration)?
The front end is bouncing all over the place!

Having driven a couple of cup cars I can tell you its unnerving at first.

Well, from the sounds of this thread it appears as if your progress is stalled. A third party should test for a fresh perspective.

Hasnt stalled.

Has been slower than I like and more tedious, but hasnt stalled.

Given the massive amount of stuff in the pipeline, the last 3 months of the year should either be really good or really bad.

Either way, just to cover my basis, plan B is already in effect.
