I used to own a 93 Prelude in college, and my back would hurt from 1 hour commutes, so this is a serious concern. Looking to hear back from yall.

Thanks.
Depends on the year as well. 2013's are a rougher ride than 2016's for sure as far as my experience goes having driven both. Haven't driven a 2017 yet but I heard they are softer on the ride but under-steer......

I am closer to 3.5 hours/day (200mi even) and I think it is great. My MS3 and RSX would leave me with some stiffness in my lower back, hasn't been an issue with the BRZ at all. I'm 5'11, 230 34-36 waist, I think the seats fit me perfectly, if I was any rounder through the middle they would probably be a bit snug.

We are all talking about commute times here but the distance and the nature of the commute are just as important. I frequently (used to be twice a week) do a commute that is about 2 1/2 hours in each direction. Normally about 98% of that commute is done on an open highway where I hit cruise after the on ramp and may not have to touch a control for two hours until I come to the off ramp. This is a nice relaxing drive and I am able to just sit back, relax and cruise (at 3,400 rpms).
Now, if I had to spend that same period of time jockeying for position or stuck in barely moving, bumper to bumper traffic just to get 10 miles I would not enjoy the time in the car nearly as much.

Mine is similar to yours, 75% highway CC, 15% heavy volume highway (but moving along fine) and 10% backroads. Biggest difference is that I stay in 5th to keep my RPMs at an even 4k...

I'm a sales rep so frequently spend 8+ hours a day in the car. The drivers seat fits me so well I never get uncomfortable other than occasionally wanting a lumbar support although sometimes it's so snug and comfy I have to stop and get up to keep myself awake. If I have the option to take back roads rather than Interstates I will not just for the entertainment factor but to help keep me engaged and alert.

Reminds me of the days in CA, when I had a research rep job and drove a lot in a company car. In the heat of the summer, I would run the AC full blast then pull over under a tree in an orchard, reach back and grab my pillow, shut the car off, plop down on the front bench seat and take a nap.

I woke up when the temperature would get to "boil".

I drive 300 miles trip twice to three times a week on my 17 86. Tbh the only thing that bothers me is exhaust noise because I have full catless exhaust. Now I swapped my stock catback back on and it's all good.
Also road noise from my re71r is REALLY BAD.
The ride itself is quite comfy for a sports car. We get a lot of wind here so it actually feel safer on 86 compared to my gf's rav4.
