The son of my employer has an F430 Spider and an F458 for summer his winter beater is a 2014 911 Turbo S with a Ruf package (lowered, different front bumper).

When I started there 14 years ago he only had a Jaguar Type S. Hes's has 3 New 911 Turbos over the past 7 or so years and his previous winter beater an E63 AMG. I guess they've done well. I, on the other hand have seen a decline in income over the past 6 years.

@Mr.Impreza yeah I really wonder eh. It's crazy when you drive by Lakeshore road on a summer day and Ferrari and Lambos are parallel parked on the street! I think it's more of a status thing than anything

I put my summers on this weekend (on the family vehicle too). I bought my FR-S in January and have been dying to drive it on some solid rubber. Plus I didn't feel like wearing out the winters too much with the 15 degree weather.

If the forecast shows any significant snow coming I'll have to switch back but it's been worth it already!

April 1 for insurance reasons. No point in risking an accident and being denied coverage because I couldn't wait 3 weeks to put summers on.

Nah not yet. Even though its been 'warm' the last few days (its 10C in Tbay right now), Ill wait until the over night temps are above freezing before I make the switch. That and I know with out a doubt, if I switch the tires now, we will get a surprise dump of snow over night lol.

My goodness. The last couple days, with the warmer weather.... The car feels SOOOOO good again. Gear shifts just snick right into their spots, the car also feels like it has 30 extra HP. Rawr! I can't wait to put the summer tires on and get all the scrapers and snow clearing/safety junk out of the trunk. Put the carpets back and, give her a nice inside and out bath etc. I think I have to get my window seals replaced though. There are large swaths of the felt missing on the outside. The winter was harsh on those seals.

Took my FR-S out tonight for a road test after installing overpipe, UEL headers and OFT Stg 2 flash for 93 octane. Figured this car would feel like a slug compared to driving the WRX all winter but OMG! No turbo lag, nice mid torque, plenty enough for the car with stock suspension and tires. I guess a supercharger, Bilsteins w/ coils, tires and brake pads/fluid would bring this car to a practical maximum potential. Y'know what, maybe nix the supercharger, this car is great maxed out normally aspirated. In fact, its great as is, unless there is track time in the future.

I had the same feeling......i personally have fallen in love now with NA engines. It just feels superb pulling all the time with no lag and the sound

I need to add an exhaust for some extra sound from the rear though, but love it.

There is truly something special about NA engines...i can only imagine how a high powered one would feel like.
