First major snowfall everyone! How's the driving? TC goes off constantly.
I love it but I shouldn't have skimmed on the tire choice. I'll for sure get a set of Blizzaks or IceXs next year.

rocking x-ice i3 here. tc goes off occasionally, but the braking is great! Driving around mostly with TC off anyway, way more fun haha.

Doing a set of Hak R's on steelies. Drove around the block a few times and overall not bad conditions but not the greatest. Driving with sport mode in small streets seems good, a little tricky getting going.

Going off Orrin's experiences, I doubt they will fit. They are on the WRX as of this morning now as well.

Absolutely a blast during this snowfall last weekend.
Blizzak LM60 seem good, did get stuck once coming out of parking spot after a snow plow has burried my car..

Ok, the traction control thing is getting a bit annoying.

I think I read somewhere that turning off traction control doesn't truly turn it off. So my question is, for those who drive with it off, how sideways does the car allow before it 'saves' you?

It doesn't save you if its "off"

If you put it in diagnostic or ice mode it more changed electronic brake distribution so the car can rotate even more.

you could press once to have it "off" and hold it in to have it completely "off"
I've read people saying you have to be stopped to fully disengage..but ive been rolling ~45km/h i think it was and was able to completely shut it off by holding it down for few seconds..
I've purposely spun out a couple times with no computer interruption..

There's a step above holding it for off as well.

^The pedal dance.

It's supposed to be for diagnostic purposes. Turns all electric nannies off.
