I still call foul on those two photos. I've seen too many flat tyres, all of them have had a slight bulge between the road and the rim. So the first photo looks fake. BUT, I could be wrong. These particular tyres may look different when flat.
In the second photo, the wheels looks misplaced in the wheel wells, especially the rear one. That COULD be because the offset on those wheels are strange combined with the angle of the photo, so I could be wrong here, too.

I have read every post SquadRouge has made (it's not many) and I think he's been playing jokes on us all this time.
The only thing that will make me change my mind, is if he posts the original, high resolution originals of those two photos so I can look at the details.

Never have a problem admitting when I am wrong (it is just so rare an occurrence)!
Reflection on hood, note on windshield, debris (cigarette butts?) under door are all different. If 'Shopped then the attention to changing very minor detail is genius.
Ya, I rock at the kids menu "Find the Difference" game!

This is getting interesting :-)
How large and what shape would that rock have to be to cause that kind of damage on two wheels without bouncing up and hitting his car?
A very large slab of concrete might do it, but he calls it a rock.

I am wondering if not a piece of rebar or something sticking up?
The fact it was so much damage to a sidewall was what had me disbelieving in the first place. Not to mention that it should have shot straight out sideways after the first hit if loose on the road.

Nah, I was gonna write something along those lines but got lazy and Googled "Stupid thesis titles" and picked the most appropriate. Probably broke a copy write law someplace.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

Yes, they are two different photos, taken from slightly different positions, one probably an hour or two after the other; judging by the shadows.
That's what I would do if I wanted to fake such a story. I'm rather clever and good at photoshop. Squady might be too.

Has OP ID'd the fluid yet? Oil is obvious. Yellow is leaking Depends. Any other color is cause for concern.

Oh great now I can never believe a pic you send again!
I blurred a plate once and that is my total Photoshop experience.

It looks like it is from an external source by the pattern.

Agreed, a piece of rebar sticking out up would do the trick. And there's a lot of nasty concrete instead of nice asphalt on highways in Califorina, so it kind of makes sense. Made my teeth rattle in the stupid rented Mustang. I seem to remember a particularly gnarly road named after an old western actor. John Wayne Highway? Ronald Reagan Freeway? Something like that.

nope doesnt say anything about rock protection

In all seriousness and I know this is a joke but if said "rock incident" were to happen again don't most companies have a road hazard warranty on newer tires
